LBP should have more levels on story mode what do you think? Also there could be online play like on PS3.:star::star:2010-10-17 13:19:00

Well if you download ther turbo! level pack then you get more levels.
And you would need a wifi connection to play with others.
This would mean that you would always need to have wifi if you wanted to play a level.
So I think its better the way it is

I agree with you unXpectiD, but it is clear that we'll need wifi connection to play multiplayer. Do we need wifi connection to publish and download levels? Yes, we do. And soit is with multiplayer.2010-10-20 18:52:00

you dont have to multiplayer all the time and besides you could play via ad hoc with nearby friends.2010-10-23 14:07:00

LBPMaestro, do you realize that multiplayer would destroy the PSP? The PSP isn't made to handle a story mode, collectible stuff, a full-blown level editor, a level sharing system AND multiplayer.2010-10-23 14:27:00

Only so much data can be fit on a UMD.

Does MoH2 have a level editor and online level sharing? NO.

The world of gaming is moving fast, PS3 are soon going to put out 3D games ,heard of kinect for Xbox 360. So why don't Sony make the UMD's bigger.

you would need more expensive macinery to make finer grooves in the disc and new and more expensive tech to register all of these grooves.
so you would need a new disc and a new psp and other people with those so that they can see what you can do with the new stuff.

I believe AceCreator once stated in an interview that just having the Internet on takes a third of the processing power. It was either Create mode or multiplayer. Sorry, but it probably will never happen. :/2010-10-27 12:35:00

is that why there is no umd and only downloadables on the psp go to make the games larger?2010-10-27 15:59:00

This isn't really how technology works. As previously stated, you would need to have a whole new game, and system. The current UMDs are packed to the brim with data. You cannot simply make it bigger.

yes many say that the umds are in fact large in terms of memory with 1.8 Gb of space and a diameter of 64mm.
and a standard dvd has about 4.7Gb storage whilst being being 12 cm (just under 20 times larger than the umd)
to give some context 2Gb is enough space to store 20m of shelved books

I'd buy it... just saying.

Though I'm sure that somehow people will ruin all of the fun (cheaters/hackers).

wouldn't that be annoying though constantly changing U.M.D to use a different part of L.B.P plus how would you make your save-data accessible to each U.M.D seen as they have their own encoding why not just do it as a series of D.L.Cs

the psp maynt have enough processing power to run the online server, a level, a complex and powerful physics engine, the actions of 2 sackpeople and all without major llllaaaagggg.
anyway the cambridge people would need to add a lot of stuff to deal with interaction with others and cameras and all that kind of thing.

yes there would be even more seen as you would need a kind of Radar or level map in the corner that wasnt lllllaaaaagggggiiiiinnnnggggg to see where your mate was and then how would you make alternative ways to complete a level that needed 2 players enitilay but then you wanted to do it by yourself. and you would have to glitch search the actoins of up to 4 peple trying to change the appearance of thier sack simmultaenusly and then if this does get made people will want text chat like the PS3 which a psp is not. plus how long do we think cambridge will take to make and test it are we fine to wait a couple of years when they could have made a LBP3 for a PS4

i like the idea but question its credabilty to exist

Hey guess what, this noob thinks Cambridge is the same as Media Molecule. Not only that, he also dissed Cambridge and/or Media Molecule.

Clarification time: Media Molecule made the PS3 version, Cambridge made the PSP version.

Also, I should have the right to call you "ignorant" for this:
PSP can do ANYTHING the ps3 can (except smaller, lol)
Instead of making wild comparisons, do some research next time.

Shame on you.

you are comparing locoroco to lbp?!!
what madness is this?
locoroco does NOT have 300,000 levels or a complex physics engine or an online community or the EPICNESS of lbp.
and mm did guide cambridge in the making of lbp (watch the credits)
