Controllinator is too sensitive!

Archive: 6 posts

My PS3 control stick must float up or something, because whenever I put a mover on something and get in the controllinator, the object always just drifts up. This kind of stuff never happens in any other games, so I think it's really just a problem with LBP2 and the controllinator being ultra-sensitive to analog stick movement. that is all 2010-10-17 02:08:00

You need to set input mode of the mover to str or speed (depends what you want to player to control), or else it won't react to analog signal of the analog stick and simply turn it on at full power on small movement of the stick marking it look like it's over seinsitive. You can also try to stimulate analog signal if you want, read newest rtm's blog entries about analog signals for basics2010-10-17 02:32:00

I've noticed this too! I've got the hang of movers, but rotators are another story2010-10-17 04:41:00

The object isn't hologram made with the grid is is. As I found a glitch where if you make a piece of hologram material and then place it so it touches the lower perimeter of the level, then when you un-pause it slowly drifts upwards. Don't know if it is linked to this.2010-10-18 00:02:00

Set an antigravity object to what you're moving. Increasing "Dampening" will make your object stop more quickly when you let go of the stick. Should be possible to use the two to make the player able to move an object and stop it on a dime.2010-10-18 00:22:00
