Combustion Engines on LBP.

Archive: 5 posts

Hi, I have a problem with an engine, a 1-cylinder vertical engine, emitter on top, magnetic-key timing and crankshaft on bottom. I've put it in a car, needs a push to get it going with enough power to keep the speed on the straight, but any slight uphills will stall it totally. In mid-air, it runs around 55-60RPM. I don't want any gears, even torque-increasing ones, mainly because it's not very reliable in LBP.

2 Questions;

How do I make it go uphills without using motors?
Can I make the engine RPM faster?

Thanks,
Josh

what exactly does the emitter do? last i knew, there were no combustible gases in LBP. wait, do you just drop a bomb in there? interesting...try using more cylinders for more power? smaller cylinders to use the explosion more efficiently. i'm going to have to play with this now...2010-10-19 10:14:00

Eh, Combustion engines are not used frequently in LBP because they use bombs, which are dangerous, etc. Also, reliable pistons and crankshafts are an iffy thing.

I do have a friend that has a combustion car that works quite well. It is 1-speed, although it does naturally have a speed-up time.

Search @PolarSackboy22 on LBP1.
