I'm in North America own a lot of the DLC's for lbp 1 but haven't played lbp 1 much this month or the previous. Will it effect my chances of getting the lbp 2 beta? I played all summer long though over 100 hours.

I already checked my email nothing then like most others you aren't in. you can try to login to http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PRIVATE-LBP-2-Beta/bd-p/bEN_LBP_beta usually they grant forum access before sending emails.

As stated, all the info you need is in that thread. As far as we know, the amount of time spent in LBP is not a contributing factor to getting into the NA beta the same as it was for EU. This 2nd phase is being recruited from an assortment of players who own DLC, are PS+ members, and uhhh... something else that I forget. The thread link above will tell you. I suggest you start reading the thread around page 28 to 30 to get the most answers you're looking for.

then you didn't get into the beta during this phase. there will be more phases and hopefully a public release of the beta eventually. thumbs up for the public beta, there was one for lbp1 (I feel stupid for not getting into it when it happened! and I knew of the game already!), so why not for lbp2?

I'm guessing on both sites and emails they are slowly crunching through the numbers.
