The Uberhighway; A Survival ChallengeOstler5000 Welcome to the extreme sport of 2100! Use the paintinator to destroy the machines ahead of you on the road, but beware as they fight back. Take out as many as you can using your only life, and see how you rank next to the other poor souls who perished in this sport. Admittedly, I was somewhat inspired by one of the levels in the Marvel level kit. I wanted to create something that was a sort of... action sequence right from the start. I'm a little nervous about posting this, as it's my first level I'm really content with enough to post on LBPC. The capture card is quite.. temperamental. One thing in particular I'd like to hear about, is any game balance comments you may have. Some vehicles may need a buff while others need a nerf. I really enjoyed this survival challenge! Reminded me a lot of Asbestos' Aerostation series, while maintaining its own unique and diverse gameplay. all of the machines were awesome and I loved how you randomized them. My favorite was the one you actually had to climb on to, awesome! I wouldn't be nervous about posting this lol, because it's great I gave it 5/5 and a heart. The only vehicle I thought was too tricky was the one that shoots the long stream of purple at you lol. If your barrier is gone, you're basically done lol. besides that i found them all to be very fair. Also, concerning the level itself, I would change the name... Your level is fantastic but the name sounds like something I would have avoided had i seen it on cool pages. just a suggestion

I'm just nervous because, although LBPC has shown itself to be a very polite site, there's always this irrational fear that someones gonna be exceptionally blunt and/or rude about something. I really don't need to be told to go kill myself because my LBP level had a problem. Yeah, the purple plasma one is a little bit OP. I've thought about changing it before, but can't think how to do it without just making it the same as the Trashco Truck. I'll play about with it later and see what works. :3 EDIT - Ah, yeah. It was originally 'The Uberhighway Survival Challenge'. I added the 'High Speed' bit in an effort to make it more appealing. But you say it's done the exact opposite? x3

lol, well it is a forum. :3 There's always that chance, I suppose. I wouldn't let it deter you from posting though, the positive greatly outweighs the negative here, i find. Might just be a matter of taste as far as the name goes, but the name first struck me to be along the lines of the "Super survival race challenge!" and "Awesome Mega Shark Survival!" style names, which tend to be of low quality and clog up cool pages. Your level is much better than theirs so it should stand above theirs in presentation. I see you changed it to The Uberhighway: A survival challenge, which already sounds a lot better, imo. I hope you manage to get your level some more exposure!

Yeah, the purple plasma one is a little bit OP. I've thought about changing it before, but can't think how to do it without just making it the same as the Trashco Truck. I'll play about with it later and see what works. :3 OK, I'm done toying with the purple Plasma one, I think. I lowered it's rate of fire, aswell as the speed the plasma moves at. Without the barrier, it isn't a sure fire game-ender, but should still pose a threat to any exposed Sackpersons. I've also added an LBPC billboard that spawns onto the road about a minute after the start button is pushed. Never done it before, but the LBPC logo hidden around a level is something I've always thought of as a sweet novelty or Easter egg.
