Transparent Layers - USB Keyboard support
Archive: 5 posts
I'm not sure if anything has been said about this already, but I figured I would throw it out there. It would be nice if there was a way to select which layers are visible in create mode. So instead of cutting away to get to that piston hidden in the back layer, then having to corner edit the cuts out (or whatever you are looking for or doing) it would be nice if there was a way to select certain layers from the pause menu just like turning grid on/off and front and game view. Or really anyway to do it would be nice. Also, not sure if this has been mentioned or not. USB keyboard support for create mode would be very nice and such a time saver. Just think if you could customize you F keys to auto select materials and certain shapes. Custom shortrcut keys would be awesome too. Just think of how much time you could spend creating instead of searching through menus, which are only going to get even larger. Level specific F keys would also be a help. Sorry I'm ranting. | 2010-10-13 22:52:00 Author: Unknown User |
Part of your wish is granted. You just press L2 on the layer you want to set transparent and BAM, you can see behind it, edit behind it, and not affect the layer you just set to transparent. L1 brings all layers set to visible back again. | 2010-10-13 22:57:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |

As you may heard keyboard and mouce support (in PS3 environment it don't need to be USB exactly) will come later after release, I'm sure they will add some nice key short-cuts to it | 2010-10-14 00:28:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
Awwwwwww yeah! Now this is good news! I have to agree both of these were really needed, I just hope that the shortcut keys all don't vanish from the program like they did in Adobe with me...did I mention Adobe and Vista customer support it pure evil? I think they are the ones posting h4h on the scoreboards and rating one stars on the cool pages. | 2010-10-15 04:48:00 Author: celsus Posts: 822 |
