Fallout 3 got a 9.4 and R2 got a 9.5 (they gave LBP a 9.5 too). What an amazing year for gaming. I am still waiting for my copy of LBP to arrive and I will have my copy of Fallout next week. I was going to wait on getting Resistance just because I do not have the time to play all these games but after spending 25+ hours on the beta I don't know if I can resist (pun intended) . As far as I'm concerned this has been the best year ever for video games. What do you think?

Resistance 2 got a 9.5? Pshh.. It's a rubbish game... Maybe it was the story line that made them tghink that way... Well, meh.

If you didn't like the first one then obviously R2 won't change your mind. Like I said, I have spent 25 plus hours with the beta and the game is amazing. What Insomniac has achieved with the online component is nothing short of staggering. 60 players with no lag or slowdown? I know of no game that has been able to achieve this (the IGN reviewer seems to think the same thing). So don't bash the game. If you don't like it that's your business but please refrain from calling what it sure to be a GOTY contender rubbish.

60 players? There are certainly some Pc games that have 125 players, and what about MMO's. WOW has 10k per server? Anyway I'm going to reserve judgement until 'Left4Dead' comes out. If thats a doozy then I will have to agree

60 players? There are certainly some Pc games that have 125 players, and what about MMO's Yeah I was refering specifically to shooters and to the fact that there is ZERO LAG OR SLOWDOWN. During 8 player co-op there are at times nearly a hundred(!) enemies on screen at the same timk with literally thousands of projectiles flying through the air and never once a framerate drop. I think that's pretty impressive.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having trouble getting excited about Fallout 3. Because I know close to nothing about it, I'm curious to know how much like Oblivion this is going to be. 100 hours to complete everything? Look, I love long games like anyone else, but there's just way too big of a scope when it comes to games like this. How in the world are you supposed to focus on any one thing? Again, maybe it's just me, but this game seems a lot like MGS4 in that I'm sure it's great but it's just not really my style of game.

Eh, cool I guess. Resitance 2 looks great, but I really didn't like Oblivion at all, so I don't think I'd like Fallout 3 that much. They're similar, from what I've heard. grr

Will probably pick up R2 due to the co-op element. Several friends at work are looking at it as well so it should be a good time Luxx
