Well, I've been messing around with (a pretty basic) version of Photoshop, making sigs and such, and I've got some to show you all! They aren't anything spectacular, but I'm having fun making them and am surely improving. Well, here they are. I'll post some more as I make them. :]

TADA! I have two wild (but cool) looking wallpapers. They were made for wide-screen TV's and put in spoilers because they are large. Neither one has any parts copied and pasted from the other.

This one is pretty old, one of my first actually. Just a ton of effects layered over each other:

You guys can request some if you'd like. Of course they wont be amazing (Inan quality...), but I'll work with them and get some practice while doing so. Just give me a nice, high quality picture, an idea, and I'll see what I can do.

If I just can't make a sig from it (which is possible), yours might not get done... But I'll let you know. This is all just for fun!

EDIT: As for critism, don't get too technical on me because I don't know much about actual graphic lingo.

hey, these are nice

There are a lot of websites filled with tutorials for text effects and stuff. you could try some and let us know how ou're doing.

As for the similarities... well two of them are about sky but the "splash" one... I don't know :/

Cool!

I actually downloaded the CS5 trial version and it's really awesome. I made some sort of painting??? Idk It has a gray and black background, and faded blue edges with a black tree in the middle, with a swing swinging off of it.....oh and blue grass. Idk it's wierd, I had no idea what I was doing, but Now I'm learning how to use these programs

And their really awesome. I can't figure out how to use the dang fade tool though!! >

Well it's like I said. It's only the trial version sadly

You could download it too if you wanted to. I took me about 2 hours? Not sure, but somewhere around there. It comes with every single feature, it's the actual program, once you install it and everything. It asks you for a serial number, or you click on the 30 day trial thing (which is what I did obviously

). So, I have 29 days left

I think for that one he was using Photoshop. He said he was gonna try and find out how to use Illustrator but I don't know how that turned out. He also has his own thread for all of his artwork.

Well, I'm trying to bring in a little more traffic to the thread. So, here's a little update showing putting up my newest two (and a half?) sigs. Feel free to use them, as long as I'm not at the moment. ;]

Suggestions are always welcomed in the form of sigs I could do and critism. Although, you don't have to tell me that the text is blatantly obvious and un-needed in half of the sigs...

... photoshop... man... i REALLY WISH I HAD PHOTOSHOP! everyone is making me jealous with their amazing photoshop creations. i know tons about photoshop.. i just dont have photoshop... so, i have to use.... PAINT.... rr..... they are quite nice though.

Thanks! I wish I had a full Photoshop program also. I have Photoshop Elements 6.0, which I've found to a bit outdated. My Photoshop program came with my tablet, and is basically a more user-friendly GIMP. I was looking at your thread earlier, and I was reading that some users suggested GIMP. I also say go ahead and use it. All of the sigs I've made could be made with GIMP with a little practice. I was absolutely terrible at Photoshop just a few months ago, but I'm getting better.

If I wanted to and could splurge and pay $300.00 for Photoshop CS5, I would.

Hey Piggabling! I know the last post is 3 days old, so are you still making sigs? If so I would like it if you made one that has a Post-Apocalyptic Setting

Scene/Setting
-Post-Appocalyptic
-Sky: Redish, but still looks like a sky
-Buildings: Brown broken down

Right Side:
- I would like a hobo-looking sackperson
- Holding a chainsaw in his left hand
- He is looking off into the distance
- You see him from behind (So Ex. the back of the head)

Left Side:
I would like my PSN Name which is - Tomeh-The-Jedi.

If this description is a bit unclear just tell me what you don't understand and I will reword it for you.
I know you are good at making sigs, but I also know what I'm asking for might be really hard and/or a lot of work so if you cannot get it done quickly or at all it is alright.

EDIT: May also add some blur/atmospheric effects so all the components blend better together... Just a warning.

EDIT 2: The chainsaw will probably be in the left hand, but across the body so it sticks out the left side... Just another warning.

UPDATE!

I have officially done my first wallpaper. It's crazy-looking but, in my opinion, pretty dang cool. Hope you like it, and I can probably make wallpaper requests also.

The wallpapers are really good!

Although, (Uh oh here it comes!

) I think it might look better with a black and dark grey background

What I mean by Black AND Dark Grey is to make it black mostly, but maybe to add a little shine effect add some dark grey

Edit: To prove I really did look at the details I set it as my background pic for my comp temporarily to check!

YAY for this thread = conversation!
Anyway for my avatar I want

Black Background
Sackboy on the right facing the left
Chainsaw on the left facing the right
Chainsaw is entering sackperson's chest
Sackperson is standing, and leaning back a bit
Sackperson has no costume
Sackperson's arms are starting to point upwards
Sackperson's mouth is open as if he were screaming
All of the chainsaw is visible handle and chain

These sigs are looking great, nice job piggabling.

I didn't see anything on how to request one so I hope I'm going to be doing it right, if it's too complex, that's fine but here's the request.

Dark night sky in the background
A dragon is on the very right on a giant, rocky hill. The Dragon wouldn't be blowing fire but looking at the night sky, kinda like the second picture in the following link but it's looking up more and the mouth wouldnt be open.

At the top left it would say "Hidden in Darkness.." and that would be white colored text. Then around the middile and lower it would say in dark red "Dragonvarsity". I'd love to see how it looks.

well, i guess i wanna sig that has a VERY SCARY backround with VERY SCARY pics. (plz take out da sackboy costumes in my sig. Thnx!!) also, make sure the font is EXTREMELY SCARY! (like a font that looks like its written in blood or a psycho written it.)plz take all the time u need. i no ur busy and all. if u have a question, plz dont hesitate to ask. THNX TO U AND UR GIFTED TALENTS!!

Hey Piggabling, do you have a software for turning multiple pics into animations?
I won't ask for something that is actually animated, but i want this for an avatar

Image 1 - Shows sackboy standing facing the person who looks at it
Image 2 - Shows a white plus sign
Image 3 - Shows the chainsaw from my other post
Image 4 - Shows pile of fluff
And Repeat
All images have completely black backgrounds
All images have the object centered

I'd recommend applying an active gradient to contrast the colors more, make the text flow with the sig via color or placement, and add renders.

Think you could explain that a bit more? I don't know what an active gradient is...

So, yeah. Renders? They're in my older ones and the one I'm using now. I decided upon a little more abstract approach this time around.

May I request a sig? I'd like:
Background: Black. Nothing Else.
Text: (glowing blue) Fail4all
Picture: A sackboy with a brown hoodie, with the hood up. Denim (basically, blue) jeans. Face shadowed over, with glowing red eyes and mouth. This sackboy should be playing a white electric guitar. Make it look like he's playing. Make some music notes that are rainbow appear out of the guitar.

Sorry if this seems a bit hard, but I want it to look cool. Could you at least try?

I could try, but like I told Tomeh, I can't really bend a sackboy into any positions imaginable. I don't have the right tools. If I can't get the sackboy, I'll do the guitar with the notes and name for you, if that would work? :S

Okay, I don't know if I'll be able to do this let alone have time... I've got exams coming up. Sorry.
