Ooh those, a part of my childhood, I have the original 6 warriors or whatever they are in box somewhere. I remember when I really wanted all of them to build the mega ones that use 3 in each. I was so happy when I got the last one Then they made new versions of those, a lot of other stuff, movies and I lost interest in the whole thing... I have seen one of the movies for some reason, lol Oh yeah, I have some bionicle game on a CD that came with a package of cereal. The game is kinda simple, just jump on platforms, but I remember that there was some song on that CD which you could hear if you put it into a CD player... that song was awesome, I have to find it some day! | 2010-10-10 00:54:00 Author: napero7 Posts: 1653 |
I used to love playing with those! I've always loved taking things apart and putting them back together so this was perfect for me! | 2010-10-10 00:58:00 Author: dragonember Posts: 607 |
USED TO? I have three of my own creations assembled on my bookshelf as we speak! And I'm 16! I'll try to put some pics up later. | 2010-10-10 01:07:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
I remember them, I also remember that I didn't like them, they were too 'ready made'. I much preferred to play with LEGO. Although LEGO was different back then. You were given a range of basic pieces and had to actually use your imagination to build things, these days kids can build a castle with 3 pieces instead of the hundreds it would have taken me. But I think I've strayed too far from the topic though. *goes to reminisce about lego* | 2010-10-10 01:40:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
Awesome! But they still thrive. | 2010-10-10 01:50:00 Author: iBubek Posts: 682 |
I have 2 or 3 of them, but I've never assembled them because those little ball and socket connectors were the hardest thing to do in my life when I got them. | 2010-10-10 01:57:00 Author: Phosphorus15 Posts: 463 |

Lego's have always been, and always will be awesome. In this case, your title is quite apt. | 2010-10-10 02:13:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
Bionicles were awesome. I thought the original Toa couldn't be topped, then my dad brought the Toa Nuva back from his trip to Belgium and whole month before they were released in NZ. YEEAAH. Bohrok. Bohrok-Kal. (not released in NZ, but I got some in Ireland) Rahkshi. Vahki. Visorak. Keetongu. But when they got to Voyi Nui they faded a bit in coolness. I didn't get any of the Toa Inika or Toa Mahri. My brother got a Piraka, Thok, the white one. I did get some of the Phantoka, though. And Barraki. Not the Glatorians, though. Man, I'm a Bionicle nerd. They're all in 4 big boxes behind me. I can't help gushing. | 2010-10-10 02:14:00 Author: tomodon246 Posts: 624 |
1st Season Bionicles FTW. Man, I LOVED playing with these. It was like "G.I. Joe" for me, and the story was BEAST. Sucks that they've discontinued it and started some "Hero Factory" nonsense. | 2010-10-10 02:28:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
Sucks that they've discontinued it and started some "Hero Factory" nonsense. I originally was in complete raeg mode about that, but: 1. Greg Farshtey is still writing. 2. Sets look cool. 3. Story has potential. 4. Did I mention Greg Farshtey is still writing? See no. 3. | 2010-10-10 02:33:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
1. Greg Farshtey is still writing. Ok, that's definitely reassuring. But still... no more Toa... | 2010-10-10 02:35:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
I used to absolutely love Legos and Bionicles! They were the best and could easily soothe a fussy child... I had a Lego book, 3 big containers of Legos, a Lego jigsaw puzzle, a Bionicles movie, Bionicles themselves, Bioncles GameBoy Advanced game, 2 Lego PC games, and a Lego GameBoy Advanced game! Was I obsessed? | 2010-10-10 02:48:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Yea I really liked these guys back in the days... I was able to make them without opening the instructions XD And the little masks/brains were quite funny too XD | 2010-10-10 03:20:00 Author: Chump Posts: 1712 |

I still have a gigantic bag of bionicle parts, but I'm missing a lot of the pieces required for the giant mega bionicles that were made out of the parts of 3 of them. | 2010-10-10 03:45:00 Author: Arkei Posts: 1432 |

I remember them!!! But aren't they making movies and different one's still?? I don't think they're dead..yet X( Anyways, I like the new movies that they're making, but then again, I like anything having to do with magic or powers. Those things drive me nuts!!! The good type of nuts though | 2010-10-10 04:03:00 Author: Amigps Posts: 564 |
I was a massive fan. I really can't say around when I lost track of them, because by now I've forgotten the nomenclature (besides Toa) of the different 'seasons'. I do remember sticking around for the 3 first 'seasons'... One of the things I'd always regretted is that I never got every original Toa... My favorite, due to me being a blue-loving Aquarius, no doubt, was the Water Toa. Like Samus later on in my life, I was quite surprised when she turned out to be a feminine. | 2010-10-10 04:05:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
I started in 2005 with a Rahkshi my grandpa gave me for my birthday. I hung on to the series until the very end... I don't like hero factory. | 2010-10-10 04:24:00 Author: JspOt Posts: 3607 |
I have 2 or 3 of them, but I've never assembled them because those little ball and socket connectors were the hardest thing to do in my life when I got them. OMG I HATE THOSE!!! I used to cry when I couldn't fit them (it hurt sometimes) so I got my dad to click them together for me (I was like 6 so don't say anything >.>) | 2010-10-10 05:09:00 Author: YEAH_NAH Posts: 775 |
BIONICLES! I was going through some old stuff of mine and found my massive Bionicle collection ( almost all of them ). Ah yes, those innocent days where my concerns were merely focused on how to assemble a plastic lego figure using a step by step instruction booklet without pinching all my fingers. The days where budgeting money meant collecting enough quarters and dimes to support the purchase of my favorite toys. But those days are over. Now my focus needs to be on getting a job, my money must be saved for bigger things. Ah yes, those days, how I miss you...Time to grow up, but I'll keep my Bionicles, thank you EDIT: I remember when I first fell in love with Bionicles. I was at the mall with my parents and I saw, at a small stand of legos, the coolest looking thing ever! It was a small plastic container that rang of goodies when you shook it. On it, it had the picture of a heroic looking green robot swinging through the jungle. They only had 2 other packages, one with a red figure and another with a blue, but this one stood out and I had to have it. I tugged at my mothers sleeve, telling her how amazing it looked, shaking it as if trying to say it was plentiful with goods and deserved a purchase. After persistent begging, I was able to carry along in my arms that plastic container. When I arrived home I was booming with excitement. I rushed to the living room and poured out on the floor the many pieces of the bionicle. At first it seemed be a daunting task, but I kept my wits about me. I pinched my fingers repeatedly trying to fit the black pegs into their rightful places, only to find I misread the directions. After awhile it was assembled, the grandest thing I had ever created. The sense of accomplishment was overwhelming, I was so proud of myself. I kept a small jar on my dresser, so that I could collect money to buy more. I was hooked... Today I own tons of bionicles and have a dresser jour filled to the brim with them. Maybe I will upload a pic. sometime... | 2010-10-10 05:10:00 Author: Unknown User |
You make it sound like it was 10 years ago, those things are still alive and breathing man. Hopefully you are speaking metaphorically. Because if you think about it, if they're alive and you're dismantling and reassembling them, and throwing them around, they'd get rather mad. Gunna kill 'ya in your sleep. Lol. And omfg, I loved Bionicles. | 2010-10-10 05:36:00 Author: illuminationx Posts: 860 |
I'm still looking for the first sets and the first Takanuva... | 2010-10-10 07:04:00 Author: JspOt Posts: 3607 |
Lego = Searching for that one little annoying piece which you always see when you don't need it. I have all my legos in a huge box =D. I have both season 1 and 2 for bionicles complete | 2010-10-10 08:58:00 Author: TjoxYorro Posts: 220 |
I have the first Bionicle movie on DVD! The original Toa/Toa Nuva were the best for me. Takanuva (Mask of light) vs Makuta (Mask of darkness) was awesome when I played out the fight. No stupid ball game here! | 2010-10-10 10:25:00 Author: Jedi_1993 Posts: 1518 |
aaah bionicles... i loved the first 'generation/level/something' of em... then they started to evolve into those monsters, they don't look like robots anymore, neither like heroes. i played with them in sand, piles of stones, water, in trees and lava. No Lol, ofc not in lava xD but pretty much everwhere. | 2010-10-10 10:34:00 Author: >er. Posts: 785 |
Bionicles? What is that? Jk, They were a huge part of my life in my early days and I loved getting new models when they came out. I had the game (dunno which, if there are more), but it was to PS2 anyway) and I think still got a box with lots of lego stuffed away somewhere in the basement. | 2010-10-10 10:42:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
Hehe, my little brother has a HUGE box of lego including bionicles, which when tipped out covers the whole of the bedroom floor. (You have do not truly know what the meaning of 'pain' is till you have stepped on a fourer-flatter in bare feet.) Heck yes! I collected all Toa Matas ( first ones ), because all of them were very cool looking. Onua was the best, because it had CLAWS! | 2010-10-10 14:06:00 Author: Coconuts Posts: 384 |
Oh they were so epic... In the end I started creating ones so unbeliveable large I could sit on them. then i stopped and kept the most epic small ones on my bookshelf. Yeah that giant one was EPIC. | 2010-10-11 18:45:00 Author: unXpectiD Posts: 1132 |
I DO! Though I wasn't 'in' from the beginning. Legend of Metra Nui (2004) to Sea of Darkness (2007) for me! By then I started liking Exo-Force. My younger cousin liked the Bionicles, so we'd have a fight between the two. Eventually I gave him all of my Bionicles. Ah, those were the days. Calm a fussy child? When there were the exact same thing 6 times, but with different colours? Doesn't sound very 'fussy friendly' to me | 2010-10-11 19:06:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |

I remember looking at all the possible cool bionicles in a catalogue and in the shop and wanting pretty much everything... And all I have are these 6 figures and one really random one that I didn't do much with... Even if I would have the chance to get them all now, it really wouldn't be the same. I used to assemble and disassemble all these without instructions many times again and again, there is no way I could get such memories if I would just get the rest of them now. Man I remember Bionicle...good times. Anyone remember the Slizers/Throwbots (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slizer/Throwbots#Planet_characters) that came a year before the Bionicle? Those are what initially interested me in the Lego Technics. Up to that point I was mostly an Aquanauts, Go kart set fan. | 2010-10-13 01:22:00 Author: 4wheel Posts: 511 |

@ Ragnarok: Yeah, They were too short. Thankfully I had gotten three before they were gone (Fire, Ice, and Jungle). http://i29.tinypic.com/20aqwcn.jpg This was my favorite aquanaut set. (I never was able to get into the re-released aquazone though ) Got this for Christmas ages ago. I have the parts for somewhere in the random lego bins I have scattered about. I was only able to get the small insectoids sets. They were fun. Sorry for running the topic off the rails there. lol | 2010-10-14 20:48:00 Author: 4wheel Posts: 511 |
