North Korea - What are they up to?

Archive: 15 posts

I don't know if anyone has heard it yet, but for some reason North Korea is giving away visums to journalists very easily. Normally you can't get into North Korea and if you're in your not allowed to film anything. Now for no reason this Dutch journalist (and journalist from other countrys) is allowed in North Korea and has (For the first time ) satalite contact. =)

The reason they've been let in is according to North Korea ''something grand that will happen tomorrow''. Its something they want to show to the world otherwise they'd never ever let in foreign journalists
I just heard it on the news and the first thing i thing of is:

North Korea + Something Grand = Nuclear Rocketlaunch or something.

Any thoughts?

Could be something to do with this (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11508493)

The man expected to be the next leader of North Korea has appeared in front of the world's media for the first time.

Kim Jong-un went to an outdoor performance in Pyongyang with the current leader, his father Kim Jong-il. They were greeted by an ecstatic crowd.

The younger Mr Kim was given senior leadership positions only last month.

On Sunday, North Korea will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the ruling Workers' Party with a massive parade on the capital's streets.

Ahead of the anniversary, the younger Mr Kim appeared sitting next to his father at a performance of the Arirang Games in Pyongyang.

He was was made a four-star general, and given senior positions in the government and the Workers' Party, at a rare party conference.

Many analysts say this means he is in line to succeed his father, who is thought to be in poor health.

His appearance at these games, in front of an invited group of foreign journalists, seems to suggest that he will be the country's next leader.

I wonder if the younger Mr Kim will be a better leader than his father...

... *reads forum rules* This is destined to end in ruins (thread, not the world).

... On a more on-topic related note, maybe they will do something according to Maslow's pyramid of needs or whatever the name is.

Edit:
After reading what Rhys125 wrote I realise not everybody knows how to prioritize.

I hope Kim Jong-un picks a fight with a nuke so we can blow them off the face of the Earth for giving Communism a bad name. Then it's to China! >:]

It's just what everyone else has said, announcing the new leader.

Hopefully he does a good job.

Something about trying to show off; and failing to do so in any attention grabbing way.2010-10-09 22:44:00

Probably trying to duplicate some LBP 2 beta keys, but MM put a super complex encryption on them so they can't copy them and sell them for tons of money, thus becoming a new world power... You didn't hear this from me...2010-10-10 01:00:00
