UPDATE 11/28/10: New Drawings

After many practices and recommendations from others around the forum, I have decided to make my own thread for my artwork. Yes, I understand that I am not the greatest of the artists here on the forums, but I've been practicing and I think I'm getting better at these drawings. So here ya go! Enjoy. And yes, TheZimInvader and Sage inspired me to draw.

Any feedback is welcome and accepted here!

Why thank you! It might be because I'm still trying to work on my shading so everything seems very 2-Dimensional right now. I'm also practicing putting the arms and legs in different positions and that sort of thing.

Just finished a drawing of dragonvarsitys sackboy. I wanted to draw something so this is what came up, as I was playing with him earlier today. I drew it straight from memory so it may not be completely accurate as far as the costume goes. I also tried to do shading and things along those lines. Some constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

@ SuperDork, well of course you already know, I wanted to get better and have more drawings before I started a thread of my own!

@Hybrid, Well...I'm workin on getting those other poses. I can never seem to get the arms to look right! They're always to fat it seems...

@dragonvarsity, glad I got everything right!

Thanks guys! I've been working on putting the hands in different positions and stuff, and was having a little bit of trouble until I got some tips from NinjaFerret. Here's the stuff that I've been practicing.

Yes, I found your tips quite helpful! I'm normally busy during the week so I don't have much time to draw things. So tomorrow I should have some new drawings posted and that sort of thing. I've been experimenting with different poses and such and hope that you guys think it's an improvement over the previous drawings!2010-10-17 03:49:00

As I told you in the VM, I really do lurve it.
And the way she seems like she's trying to look serious is adorable
However, since you'd like to be critiqed, i'll do my best, even though I kinda suck at it
.. xD
-The ears are a bit too pointed, and should be rounder and more sticking out to the sides.(unless the reason they look like that in your drawing is because you intended to make them appear to be hanging down)
-The eyes should be farther apart, and -if you're going for anatomical accuracy- smaller.(however, if you're leaning toward developing a more cartoon-ish style, then having them larger than normal is ok)
-The arms are a bit too short and stubby
-The feet shouls be larger compared to the rest of the leg
-The two white parts of the nose should be larger and rounder


And that's all i'll say, because i've seen that you've already been critiqed quite a bit on Zim's thread.		2010-10-19 15:23:00

Also, not to be rude, just to help, the legs and mouth aren't balanced left-to-right. The mouth is round on one side and more pointed on the other, while the knees of the legs, well one is lower than the other and one is pointed while the other is very round.
EDIT : On a more positive sounding note, I had to look at it for a while to notice those things, so it is AWESHUM!!!!11!1!		2010-10-19 15:30:00

Thanks! It was a kind of quick creation, and I don't really feel like it was anything amazing.

Here's another one that I made out of boredom. I was actually trying to make myself a new sig but it definitely didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I just cant seem to create sigs that I'm really proud of like some of my previous work...oh well.

Anyway, great job on drawing Zim, but there's an R to her left and an L to her right. Hahaha thanks guys. I actually drew the R and L because I was having trouble imagining her holding the brush in her hands like that. So I drew those so I knew which side would be Right and Left if I were seeing things from her eyes!2010-11-11 00:43:00

I think that's what happens when you're on an 8 person team making a comic. I know that might not sound like it's busy but it's a pretty big comic plus everything going on outside of LBP. Making new art isn't something that I can just do whenever, for your information.
I have to 'feel' like it first, because if i don't feel my art, it comes out badly.
