OK Choice (Act 3: The Worn Shores of Time)Celsus This is the 3rd part of the story. Your device has let you escape a ctastophy the likes of which no one would survive to tell. You managed to repair the accelerator only to arrive further off track...powercells that should have lasted decades have failed you, but why? This time you need to repair almost the enitre accelerator, but don't let that distract you from locating the clues to things have have come to pass... After playing this one I have to say I am thoroughly impressed and I have to say these levels deserve to be spotlighted! I could not find anything wrong with this level whatsoever!! Also I must say I was a little disapointed at the start cause I was like back to this mobias thing and back to the same level with a little change but I was massively impressed when I went outside and seen all the changes and the excellant ideas and detail! | 2010-10-09 17:04:00 Author: Jordanmcc ![]() Posts: 94 |
I am very sorry for the delay for the review for this. Here it is. I love how each time in OK CHOICE, you change the enivronment some, whether it's the regular city, post-capolcalyptic and abandoned city, or a city covered in trees, plants and giant birds altoughit got a bit repetitive at first. I liked the design as usual and it was still interesting. The birds were............different. ![]() ![]() P.S. The reason I haven't mentioned any of your levels on my blog is because I wanna play the whole series of OK CHOICE first because usually I mention a series of levels if their out, not just one after another after another after another. | 2010-10-14 14:18:00 Author: Dragonvarsity ![]() Posts: 5208 |
Awsome feedback! I think I will make the birds a bit more real, it is a good point, I think the eyes change the feel compared to the other designs, I will alter them aroud a little. I may have had the level too free roam at that point. I thkn you found everything that direction, you just needed to go to the other side of the level (far left side) and that should have gotten you everything else you needed to finish. I think I will adjust the speech bubbles to say something a bit more informative than the tide. And thanks for the very kind words, I understand on waiting on the blog, I am just happy to hear that you wanted to mention it. ![]() | 2010-10-14 16:59:00 Author: celsus ![]() Posts: 822 |
Okay, thanks a lot. ![]() ![]() | 2010-10-14 17:09:00 Author: Dragonvarsity ![]() Posts: 5208 |
Well I broke down and did the update. Both sides now do more than just a vague "the current is strong" bubble and give a better direction while avoiding to give too much of a hint. The birds have eyes designed for them as much as the thermo would allow, I think it gives them a more organic feel, they have sticker touch-ups and textures altered. Also the final passage has new camera angles and few corners I had to fix before and remembered have been fixed..oh and a little more life was added to the far right of the ocean (by the current) so hopefully it fits well with the level. Again thanks for the great feedback Dragonvarsity. I know you are busy, so get to the others when ever you feel like it. | 2010-10-14 21:48:00 Author: celsus ![]() Posts: 822 |
Thanks a lot, also, yeah, I'm actually kinda glad you didn't change those birds. I will agree they felt a little silly, but heck I just loved the way they looked. ![]() ![]() | 2010-10-15 02:40:00 Author: Dragonvarsity ![]() Posts: 5208 |
Lol, that's cool...I did edit the birds a little, if you do play it tell me if I should change them back. I kept the body structure, but changed textures and made more bird-like eyes...I am not sure if I actually improved them or not. Hope you get to play LBP2 beta, I don't have time for the beta because of all the improvements I am still doing on the LPB1 levels and the animation project that I just took a break from...but I already have the game reserved for when it comes out. Oh, and just as of today your score showed up on the scoreboard...it was first place on one of the levels...but then it vanished...and now it is showing that no one has played it...I really wonder what is wrong with those scoreboards at times. | 2010-10-15 04:44:00 Author: celsus ![]() Posts: 822 |

If you get Beta you should test out a 3D layer level and see if it works, then again I thought I saw LBP2 listed as real 3D compatible or maybe that was motion? 250 would be cool, maybe I will make a newspaper sticker with the levels listed on the blog as the headlines and leave it in the level somewhere hidden as an easter egg. Just finished the animation, and made a smaller compressed image of it for the signature.
