Assassins Creed: Brotherhood Beta

Unfortunately, I'm not in but I loved the first two assassins creeds!

Isn't the beta open to all ps+ members?

Yeah I would like to see what it is like but I can't personally see myself getting into it since its just running disguises and pressing x.		2010-10-08 19:12:00

yes it is open to all psn+ members. I am having fun with it, but you do make a good point about the depth of the game. It does seem to be almost a one trick pony. The beta says it expires in 90 days, so I might have had my fill of it by then. Who knows though maybe with some DLC it will acquire some legs.2010-10-08 20:16:00

It wasn't until a few days ago, that I realized how absolutely amazing the Assassins Creed Multiplayer would be. I mean just imagine it. You're in a city that's teeming with life like... Rome? (Sorry) And you're walking around looking for the other assassins. But because you can disguise as the people in the city, you have no idea who the other assassins are. I mean, that, to me is what I call an amazing multiplayer experience. If the multiplayer is being run the way I think it is, then it should be simply amazing.

The beta uses maps, so your restricted in where you can go. You get a contract to assassinate another players and a marker showing you where to go. Theres a maximum of 4 players that can have a contract for another player.
You can only disguise yourself for a short period of time, then you have to wait for a 1 minute cooldown. There are a limited amount of characters so to not be recognised by someone who is right next to you, you'd have to either be standing next to characters that look like you, or use the disguise.
Stealth isn't so useful since theres always someone who knows where to find you. It's better to 'Run & Gun' or rather, Run& blend.
You also get little perks as you level up that you can put on class slots. They activate when you press whatever button they are set to. (R1, R2,etc)
Sprint faster, Disguise, smoke bomb, gun, etc.
Also, the beta only has one mode, which is assassination, so you can only use the assassination attack and instantly kills the person. You also can't kill other players if they're not your target. If you kill an NPC you lose your contract.		2010-10-09 21:26:00

You didn't need it, PS+ users just got it on the 27th of september instead of the 4th of october.

Meh.

This beta is okay, but it's fairly boring after about five games. I only played it on the 4th, and I probably won't be playing it much again due to there being only ONE match type.		2010-10-10 15:05:00

Im sure there are more than just that one game mode... If that is the only type of multiplayer match they have, I'm not too impressed. It is fun for a while, but it gets very boring after a few matches.2010-10-10 20:45:00
