Collect power ups and blast away with your super charged shot. Gain a rank from s to d class and earn prizes. After a long while and playing skyblaster a few times I figured its time I took another whack at making a aircraft top down shooter. The result is Arch wings! NOTE: This is for one player only, more then one player not only lags it badly but the craft can't be controlled well with more then one person sorry. FEATURES Advanced logic. power up system for a full scatter shot. Charged attack. A fully functional HUD with character portraits. Difficulty It is challenging but not to the point of frustration, I have only managed to get A rank after many trys. if any one gets S rank you get one of my rare creations as a prize, my white glint SD. The controls are shown in the game before you start but here it is. CONTROLS R1 to shoot. Hold R1 to charge up and fire super shot hold x to boost. Collect power ups. I liked how it came out so much I think I will make a few more missions out of it and maybe a series on lbp2. That dang boss is tough! I cant beat him . The level is pretty cool. I like the intro and you get to see your wingmen taken out.Also like the cutscenes. It made it feel like a real mission. The controls are smoother than Sky Blaster for sure but the lag kinda hinders the experience. Like itll stop for a split second then continue (its very slight though). I also I dont know how to read the energy bar, lol. All I know is when its flashing your in danger. Also does the boss energy show up any where? 4 stars and a <3 edit: Nvm about the energy bar. I look at the enemies and dont think to look down XD.

thanks for the reply. the boss is hard but he can be beaten. it takes a bit of practise but you can avoid being damged by avoiding shots. (hint: stay to the right and keep hitting r1 and watch his pattern ) yeah not much i can do about the lag :-( lots of things emitting all at once lol

Dude, that's awesome! Very impressive tech. How the hell did you do all that? I only ranked C at the end, but I didn't find the boss too tough. I picked up a load of powerups before I encoutered it, so I had good firepower to bring him down. I'm gonna try again for a better ranking next time. My only criticism is that the charge beam seems a bit temperamental. Sometimes I would hold it for more than 10 seconds and release, but nothing would happen. Not a huge issue though, since the primary weapon was more than good enough to finish the job. Overall this was a fun and technically brilliant level that easily deserves 5 stars (and the heart which I kindly donated)

UPDATE: I have adjusted the charge meter and the camera. I have added a health bar to the boss as well. Thank you for your feedback :-)

Awesome level. It's quite similar to "Sky Blaster", except that it has better visuals and improved controls. The power-ups and enemies are a blast and the movement logic really does feel that you're in need for speed. The cut out of the moving background is brilliant too. Overall, it's even better than "Sky Blaster". 5 :star:s and a <3.

background was a pain I hope its easyer to make in lbp2. besides the small lag ups any problems?
