A sack modification level. Basically has the bases for anything eye, face, or skin related.

New pictures!

/end new pictures.

Fully customizable bases, except for ones involving lights which are only mostly customizable, and there's OVER 9000 (not really) options for those, so it's not like it's a really big deal or anything. - shrugs -
Basically if you do it right, you can end up with this:

http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/6103/aphoto2.jpg

How it works:
Okay, so everything is on a reel, right? There's a bunch of customizable modification panels.
So, you go up to whatever you want to use, and pull the lever.

It'll scroll through the options.

http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/4404/5058434764fd172a8e0b.jpg
So, you find whatever one tickles your fancy, take a picture of it from a good angle, and apply it.

There's also makeup for the ladies (and lads who like to be pretty).
Basically, you take a picture of the solid colored part of the panel to get your skin color, and then take a picture of the makeup part, and put it on your sack's face. This part is also on a reel, like the contacts.

NOW LET'S PAIR THEM!

This sackgirl likes green. So, click it...

Apply it...
http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/8711/505782650512d8bcba3a.jpg
Bam! Customized.

Now I don't want to leave anyone out, so here's a prettyboy.

So, yeah. That's how it works. Any questions?

Edit:
Feedback it appreciated, and you can ask me for feedback on your levels, but trust me, you probably don't want my feedback. I'd be like "it's good. Yeah I liked it. No complaints." 'Cause I'm terrible at feedback. DX

I mean, I'll try, but seriously. I fail at feedback.

Completely re-uploaded, and renamed.

Sorry for double posting, but it's practically a new level, so I figured it was necessary.

Well, as a costume freak I have to say... this is a GREAT level for getting a unique look for your eyes folks! I'm really impressed with the natural "glint" effect that your system produces. I found the system very easy to use overall, and a great range of colours. I didn't get into the makeup part much, as most of my sackboys are just that.. boys.

If I could make some positive criticisms and suggestions, there's a few things that I think might make this a better level.

1. Some of the camera angles are a bit off, and it's tough to get a good head-on shot of the contact. I found that the cat-eye camera near the end was the best angle for taking a good shot, so you might want to go in and tweak the other camera's to match that one.

2. Some people don't know how close they should crop their photo when taking it, so that they get the perfect sized photo so that when shrunk down it fits perfectly onto the eye. Perhaps you could add a picture to show "exactly" where they should be framing their picture to help them out? Maybe even add a few "guideline" stickers around the eyes for them to line up their photo guide when taking their shots? Just a thought.

3. I loved the cat eyes (which was the main reason I went to the level in the first place). I was thinking though, that it would be nice to be able to have them with the cornea running horizontally instead of vertically... more like a lizard/alien look (or goat... as I think you implied in the actual level). I think you are on to a really neat idea of helping people create great custom eyes... and that the idea could be expanded in many ways to incorporate weirder and more interesting contacts as well. I suppose I could always make something similiar and make my own lizard eyes, but I think it'd be a great addition to your level too.

4. Music. I know this was mentioned in your comments on the level, and while not necessary... I do tend to agree. I think one of the more relaxed tunes would go well with this level.

If you do decide to expand some of your designes, might I suggest looking at some of the online catalogues for special effects contact lenses... such as "Wild Eyes" or a similar company? I think you might find some great idea's there to add to your wonderful collection you've started.

Cheers.. and thanks for the eyes!

I think you'll be happy to know that I've actually decided to make a second more streamlined version of this. I'm going to go into the projects forum to ask for suggestions, and I definitely will be making goat/alien/lizard eyes. I'm actually doing a "sack modification project." I realized that I can go oh so much further with the idea. I was literally just going to the projects forum when I decided to check this thread!

I've also already added (changeable) music, and changed the camera angles due to complaints in the comments. So, yeah. Thanks for the feedback!

Edit: Some of my sackboys are horrible examples of boys. rofl
Half of the time they look like a crazed neon version of Adam Lambert. I guess that's what they get for having a J-rock fan decorating them, though. XD

Hey. I was unable to upload the pics we discussed in our PM because my PS3 won't support Photobucket uploading for some reason. Oh yeah.. it's because the PS3 is horrible as an internet browser... that's why!

Erhm... anyways, I played around with a few things and have some suggestions and examples that I think you might be interested in adding to your level. I'll find a way to get them up here by the end of the weekend so you can see if it's something you might like to use.

Also, I was thinking... you might want to add the word "costume" somewhere in the level title for those who are actually searching for costume ideas and help. I've often searched that word alone when looking to see if there are stickers or ideas in levels that I think might help with my own costumes, and would have never found your level if it wasn't for this thread. It will likely generate more plays for you. Just a thought.

Cheers!

Hmmm... this particular level, I'm not going to change the name of it, because it's going to be obsolete and irrelevant very soon, but my next level, I just changed the name to "The Sack Contact Lens Machine: Great for Costumes" so, perhaps it will have more people finding it. Thanks for the info, because I usually search exactly what I'm looking for, and BAWW when I don't find it. XD;

Also: For uploading pictures, try using flickr, and then saving them to a computer, then hosting them on a site that doesn't require you to link to their site every time you post a picture. That's what I do, if I don't have a USB stick, or my PSP handy.

My costume designs are usually more tame, but those 'normal' eyes do look quite good. I'll have to drop by.2011-09-14 22:33:00
