This is the fourth and final level in my Mysterious Planet series. Like the other levels in the series, this is an open world exploration level, similar to Metroid, and features platforming, paintinating, and puzzles. The series has an ongoing story, so if you want to fully understand it, I recommend playing the other 3 levels, but it is not required. Because of the level's length, I had to split it into two parts with the second part containing the boss of the level. (You'll find a key to the second part at the end of the first. ) After beating the level once, you unlock speed run mode, where you can race to get the fastest time through the level using sequence breaking. Be warned though, this is a long and fairly difficult level, so only play it if you can handle it. I'll be happy to do feedback for feedback, so feel free to post your level here after playing mine.

I'll be sure to play this the next time I get online...knowing that your previous levels took around an hour to complete I know what to expect. I'm really looking forward to this one!2010-10-06 19:13:00

Me too. I need to find a right time to play it though since it's an hour long level. I'll put in a feedback after I played it.

I just played your level and heres my feedback:

Positives:
+Visuals look good
+Gameplay was pretty smooth
+Puzzles were okay

Negatives:
-Backtracking kind of killed the level for me, it was too much going back to the beginning to do stuff.
-Elevator with the green line through it keeps up jumping making it hard to jump across to the next area
-The 1st enemy you face has his emitter showing

Overall the level was still very good just backtracking got on my nerves good job though::star::star::star::star:

@Sabre: Thanks for playing! Sorry you didn't like the backtracking, it's one of those things that you either love or hate. I'll play your level next time I'm on LBP.

@Shawneboi: Glad you like it so far! Just to let you know, if you got the decryption key on your first playthrough, you can take a different, faster route on your second one...

I played this level last night and I loved it as much as your other 3 "Mysterious Planet" levels. You once again succeed with "Metroid" style exploration gameplay and the obstacles and visuals worked out great. The "Dimension Shifter" is the best weapon of the series, even if it's just an Paintinator and that's the weapon that should be seen in "Ratchet and Clank", "Metroid", and other sci-fi games. However, there are some things that should be fixed like the checkpoint near the anti-gravity platforms because you can easily cheat getting one of the sacred keys by retry command as I somehow activate it when I went underneath it, and I see a grammar error in some speeches that you put "The Boss's" and it supposed to be "The Boss' ". What you really nailed it in your level series is the epic part 2, because of the brilliant boss battles and the countdown to destruction that you must complete the level before time runs out. Overall this level is a must play for those who want to play long and challenging levels. 5:star:s and a <3.

Play and F4F any one of "The Hero Chronicles" levels.

EDIT: I almost forgot. I'm the second player to beat both part 1 and 2. First one is that toaster guy.

Both parts of the level have been updated with a lot of glitches fixed. In the spirit of Metroid, I've decided to leave a few sequence breaks in the level.2010-10-09 15:11:00

As you know, I love the first level for it's awesome length and rising epicness, and the second for the Breathtaking Climax to the series it provides.

These levels are a must-play for anyone who likes a long, exploration-based level with an epic story and little challenging gameplay here and there. The visuals are great, not only on technical level, but the lighting is superb and the variety of the areas is good. I kind of wish the illumination device would be used more, in a Crash bandicoot's firefly-esque section (as you know ) but ah well. The dimension shifter is used in interesting ways so that each shift feels new. (also looking forward to "50 dimension shifts with real poisonous water ", if you'll make it that is.)

The ending is ,as overused the following word may be, truly epic. It's all timed so you can't stop. you must not fail! Adrenaline rush at it's best (at least what you can get from videogames). The final plot twist was unexpected and kind of sad, but the galaxy is not empty for a great mind like Camden1. And to imply that I liked it even more than Project Fracture, I'll have to give it (them)

Great level with nice sorroundings. Well chosen material and decoration. Fits perfectly. I also loved the gameplay and the length of this level. It is really long but doesnt get boring, which is hard to do.

One negative point to add is the walking back . It really is annoying but it was worth it

5 stars from me.....great work

It's been a while! Just posting to announce that part 2 of this level (and part 2 of Mysterious Planet: Project Fracture) has been unlocked, so anyone can play it even if they haven't played any other Mysterious Planet levels. I've also fixed a number of glitches in this level and optimized the icons of all the Mysterious Planet levels so they look good on LBP1 and 2.2011-01-16 01:45:00
