Hey, I got a tip off from a pretty reliable source that the LBP2 US Beta will be out tomorrow (10/6/10). They talked to MM and that's what they were told. Keep your fingers crossed! EDIT: The source talked with MM at a recent event. I have come to believe it will be released Thursday (10/7/10), as the event occurred in Britain so the dates may be off. The US PS Store updates on Thursdays also. I am not trying to pull a scam, but I am saying what the source, whom I trust very much, is saying. I'm obviously hoping it comes out too, and if it doesn't, I will be just as disappointed as the rest of you guys.

US PS Store updates on Tuesdays, so its more likely that it would be released on a Tuesday. And seeing as how it wasnt released today, we have to wait atleast another week :C

MM has no control over it so even if MM said it, it's not necessarily true If it went on the store today they might start sending codes tomorrow though, so it is plausible.

It can already be on the store from a few weeks ago though can't it? Not sure if that's what happened with Modnation, too long ago to remember since I was having too much fun in that beta. They could just be sending out codes on a day not Tuesday and say it's open Tuesday or straight away.

I'm aware of this, but I'm also aware that such unnamed sources are, 50% of the time, full of crap and that the culture of unnamed sources is one of the many reasons modern news reporting is so completely inept. But that's a whole other conversation right there TBH, judging by the rest of the "reliable" sources we hear about on this site, it's someone working at gamestop... They know everything, apparently

According to my good friend RANDOM.ORG the beta shall come out on the 17th. (I made that bold so peoples eyes would fix on it and thus make them think it is the true release date.) I stand by this answer as the most reliable of all the random, totally incorrect and in no way reliable guesses that were guesstimated. (Because, you know how accurate and reliable all the other 'accurate' guesses were.)

I have it from an uber-reliable source that teh beetah will come out some time between now and the end of Jan, 2011. Until then, I'm just going to be patient and hope for an email asking for my assistance in finding bugs. I've already found two in my basement... big things with long legs that move like the wind.
