Hey LBPC, I'm proud to present the LBPC Roast Contest. The idea here is that as friends and rivals we can compete to make the best levels that roast some of our dearest friends on LBPC. I think this will be some really good fun, both for those in the competition and for those of us that just wish to play these funny levels about our friends... I wanted to do this right, and so I've set a time period for this contest to about two months. This should allow us to really bring some creativity to these levels. Also, I'm including what I believe to be some really worthwhile prizes, as an incentive for even more of us to join in on this project. Oh! and don't forget to swing by the promotional level I created just for this competition! Its quite a bit more fashionable than this thread... Contest Rules: Level must “roast” a LBPC member or members. “Roasting” is making fun of another person in a well-intentioned manner. For example a level could have a story line that focuses on the roastee, or perhaps be a spoof of one of the roastee’s levels, etc. All entries must be made with good intentions towards the roastee. Levels do not need to be focused towards making fun of a creator, but must at least include humor that is centered around the "Roastee." Malicious levels will not be accepted. Each entering participant must gain approval from their roastee to be roasted. Roastee must then PM me to grant their approval. For example, if Morgana wanted to roast Comphermc, she would ask him if she could and then have him send Lockstitch a message saying it was ok via PM. Level must be published after October 5th and before December 21st, which will be the contest deadline. Only one entry per person/team. Level title must Include “LBPC Roast” in title, so that players can find them all at once. Finally, all rules are subject to possible change depending on unforeseen problems. Prizes: The following will be the prizes for those that take the top places in the competition: 1st place: $70 US / 70 pounds UK / 70 Euros Spain in PSN codes 2nd place: $50 US / 50 pounds UK / 50 Euros Spain in PSN codes 3rd place: $20 US / 20 pounds UK / 20 Euros Spain in PSN codes From what I’ve researched these are the only three types of PSN codes that I can buy online with relative ease. Winner will be able to choose which version they desire. Codes will be sent via PSN message to the winning parties. Please allow one week from announcement of the winners for me to get these codes distributed. Finally, the top ten levels in the competition will be featured in a small “LBPC Roast Winner Showcase” level that I intend to build, which will ideally key link to all the top ten levels. Judging: Judging will be done loosely following the rubric below for a total of 10 possible points per level: Theme: 1-3 points 3: Creator fully incorporated the roast theme into his/her level 2: Creator has Rostee included in his/her level to a mediocre degree 1: Creator barely included Roastee, rare roasting involved Creativity: 1-4 points 4: Creator included some aspect never before seen in LBP community 3: Creator made a level that feels fresh, not overdone 2. Creator made a map that is fun but has many ideas copied from other places 1: Creator used many MM items, only used basic ideas Polish: 1-3 Points 3: Level appears visually as it came out of MM towers 2: Level shows good use of corner editor, no brush cuts are visible 1: Brush cuts obviously visible I’d like to utilize a team of judges, at least five. So If you’re interested, PM me about it with a short paragraph of why you want to do it/why I should pick you. I’ll probably try to have my helping judges established by November. I'll be trying to select individuals with at least some sort of reputation already established here on LBPC that I believe know how to review a level. I'm very pumped to see what this competition will bring us, and I hope many of you find this as exciting of an event as I do!

Anything that includes humor directed at or around the roastee will qualify your level for the contest. Examples I thought of would be to: A. Create a spoof level of one of their levels. B. Make a funny storyline about the author somehow C. Make a level that is inside the head of the roastee, where we can hear their thoughts D. Make a level centered on a joke about the roastee, like if the roastee is really good at logic, make a level only of logic But of course these were only some of my ideas, feel free to take it where you will. If you have a questionable idea, just pm me about it first perhaps. And remember, don't be too mean/negative in your roast, its not supposed to be malicious humor...don't hurt any feelings! Okay... 2 things: 1) I need cutouts of the people I'm roasting but can't find a full-sackbody picture of either of them (yes, there's 2... sorta anyway, 1 poses a side-task) So if someone thinks they know the people I'm roasting (you can easily find out with 2 clicks of the mouse from this page) PM me if you wanna help (also I am doing a rolling credits bit at the end) 2) Running out of thermo, I can use the thermo cheat to a certain extent, but I'd rather have less lag. Could I make a second level that JUST features the last section of the first level and a boss then the credits + end? Not trying to make a series but I need a boss and it would be tough to fit it in without bad lagging even on 1 player. Or... Are you aloud to leave it on a cliff-hanger?

Just to spill ma beans a l'il, at the moment I'm making a Defence Droid that a strange External Force set on the main character t prevent him from reaching a Controls Room. It features a lot of logic but now I can add EVEN MORE!!!! Sorry for the outburst...
