LBP1 and LBP2 sharing level upload slots? I hope not...

We all know we have level upload limits, but I was just thinking.. all the levels in LBP1 will supposedly be searchable and playable in LBP2, right? They'd all be under the same PSN id, right?

I hope they don't share real estate on the server... for example, 20 levels you can publish from LBP1, and 20 levels you could publish from LBP2. Not 20 from any combination of the two.

I'm told you get 20 publishing slots for LBP1 levels and 20 for LBP2 levels, so I guess no worries there. 2010-10-05 03:25:00

In beta you get empty earth, but whole moon from from LBP1 is copy over to LBP2 via import function and then you can test them out and publish if you want. No sighs of any LBP1 server compatibility and no sighs what Silver is saying, but he might be right 2010-10-05 03:29:00

The beta is on a different server, so of course the lbp1 levels don't show up there.... They aren't there

The 20 + 20 was confirmed a while back but i forget the source, it was something legit though.

I hope its 20 slots for any level having NOT purchased LBP1, and 40 slots for any level if you have purchased LBP2. Why do you want them seperate? If I wanted to make a game with 40 levels but only half could be made in LBP1 and the others in LBP2, that just limits creativity a lot I think.2010-10-05 22:41:00

Obviously though, one problem you will probably encounter is the fact that loads of things that looked good in LBP1 don't in LBP2 - so using glitches in LBP1 will probably cause you a headache in the second game, when you'll need to re-edit them all over again. For instance, if you used a lot of lights in LBP1, they will look odd in LBP2. Also, all the invisible gases etc are visible in LBP2. I don't think I've explained very well... but ah well!

Your wrong about the Gases, they were fixed last patch =P
but your right about lights etc and most people will start useing a lot of their level room
fixing their old levels that got killed in LBP2 from the changes, but theres a way we can make more
levels with out taking up alot of online slots or making another PSN, if you think about it for a bit~ ;3 *mew

Well im still trying to think up the best way to set it all up buuuut...
my idea has to do with the new way emitters work, they now only
use the levels thermometer when they are being used meaning they don't take up
room before they go off like they used to, so there fore we could emit whole levels in just one level,
like i could set up a level on LBP2 thats called *My LBP1 LV Set* and you start off in the level
in a room with lets say i had 5 levels in lbp1 and so 5 buttons(see where im going yet?)
you push a button then it emits the level and tellaports you to the start of that level
(you'll have to set it up your self) this way you could use up just one level slot if you
don't want to take up much of your online slots, this also could be used to make neverending LVs,
i really look forward to messing with this idea~ :o *mew

PS: im trying to find out if everything works the way i said, i pretty sure it does tho from what i know.
