All rise, Round 44 of the Caption Contest is in session!

The premise is simple; whoever places the best caption on the provided LBP image wins! The caption could be a thought going through the characters' heads, or something the characters are saying, or even a short story leading up to the picture! It can practically be anything you want, as long as it's clean and abides by the forum rules.

NOTE: Humor is the only way to win!

Each round a new picture will be posted and you have two weeks before the thread is locked for judging. Once the next round commences, a new picture will be posted, and the winners from the previous round shall be announced.

Rules:

Only two captions per user (you do not have to post both at the same time).

Image editing/manipulating (Photoshopping/GIMP-ing) is allowed.

Awards will be handed out at the end of the round, usually on a Saturday after the 2 week time limit. At that time, the image for the next round will be displayed.

Post the pictures on this thread, there will be no gallery section but they will be archived when the round is over.
Image needs to be around the same size as the original for legibility. Smaller ones will be accepted, but if they cannot be read and you cannot fix your entry, then it will be horribly hard to judge and probably will not win. More then welcome to get with me to give you help, plus I have a handy how to up above!

Awards:

Winning Caption -the best caption gets this. [250 xp]

Second Place - second best caption. [100 xp]

Third Place - third best caption. [50 xp]

Consolation Prize - this award goes to the caption that didn't get an award, but was still very good(this may not be handed out every time). [20 xp]

Thanks for all the entries. Our entries were down a bit, possibly due to the pic being so funny on it's own. Then again.. possibly with the {ahem} UK Beta, the release of The Game, and possibly everyone going back to school, some of our regulars may have been missing. Still we got quite a few great entries. This one was really difficult to judge as there were so many that were really close. As always, we finally figured out the winners!

Awww... now guys. Please please don't think that way. I mean they were all really really close and it is horribly hard to judge some weeks. Just keep trying and you never know. ..plus it is just for fun right?

Like I have posted in a prior rounds thread, what we do is look how well your caption matches the scene as well as the expressions. ..well and plus you have to make us laugh.

There are many many styles to humor and we try our best to judge them all fairly.

Hmmm... well, you could try getting another site going like flicker or tinypic. Another thought is rather than having your sig and avatar linked, you might try uploading them here and save you some bandwidth.

Flickr, tiny-pic,image shack, image-hosting.com and many others don't support .GIF or files over 5mb without a premium account... photobucket is the only one i know of that does...

And what do you mean by upload them here? As in on this website? But you need a direct link to put them in your sig do you not?

Ahhh.. did not realize how large your sigs were.

You can embed them here, but there is a limit on size. Your current sig is over 7mb. lol.. Never mind!

Well.. one thought is your Caption Contest entries would work on another site as those generally are a bit less than 1mb.

Yeah.. just remember that more points are given using expressions as is rather than altering the sackboys.

Adding another element, if funny.. doesn't take away anything. ..we just like to advise that it is the best caption that fits the given pic. ..and if there are some extras that make it even better and we find it funny.. that is cool as well.

Hmmm... do you have the original you did somewhere? In looking, it looks like an attachment and pretty small. I have some handy dandy instructions on how to post entries in the OP. Best bet is to post it elsewhere and simply use the Insert Image icon.

And originally, I just had it linked though LBPC. Looks like LBPC shrinks images.

EDIT: The preview was twice the size as it is when not in edit mode...

Yup.. LBPC shrinks stuff when you plop it in an album. No need to wrap it in spoilers though! Show it off!!

No worries!! We like it big.. the whole reason we create the set and take an HD picture!!! The site will resize the display size down to fit.

Awesome entries! However since there are not that many this round we will be extending this at least till tomorrow to give some others a chance to enter and one person to fix his entry as we can't see it. The main reason is we haven't finished building a new set for the next rounds picture!! lol Like so many of you, we are in the US and just got our beta codes last night and have been playing LBP2. yay!

So forgive us, but hopefully that gives all of you a chance to enter another if you haven't done so already! Thanks everyone!!

Is the next picture going to be taken in the LBP2 beta? The images come out much better (As I'm sure you know).

At some point yes. Maybe the even this next one! However, we already capture pics in HD as we do not use the in game camera. So in that regard the quality will stay the same, but will have the LBP2 graphics advanatages for sure.

Have you not noticed the laaaaarge high quality pics we create even in LBP1? lol
