"We wouldn't slip a game to make it worse," said fellow community manager James "Spaff" Spafford. "It's unfortunate, but our community has been really understanding. It's great because we all feared we would get shouted at quite a lot. But everyone was just like, fair enough, I'd rather the game is better."

I'm glad the outlook on this is more positive than negative. The game IS really buggy in its current state.2010-10-02 22:16:00

I'm happy since I won't have to work to get the money to buy it. I can just use money I got for Christmas 2010-10-02 22:38:00

Hehe, me too!

And it's nice to see more of what MM says about the delay.

I'll admit, I was pretty disappointed.
But only because: "Well, it's been pushed back because we want to give you the best game ever!"
Which sounds very much like Publisherese for: "Holy crap, look at all those games coming out in November! Let's push the game back!". Which would have been Sony's fault, mind!

And then I heard about the bugs in the game. and I was like: "Okay, yeah... that's okay then."

not happy either. mm should at least let more/every1 into the beta. which would obviously expire closer to release date.

Therefore every1 can play the game until its delayed date.

I still don't get why they let the states wait that long! I don't see any reason for that! Well at least they are better than Capcom or Square Enix who give a ******* about the fans and what they think. LBP2 is for the fans and FFXIII and RE5 are for the money.2010-10-03 12:30:00

I am all for a delay if it means the game irons out some bugs. I was gonna buy GT5 but it looks like the same game I played 5 years ago with better graphics. Cheers to the devs for wanting a polished product on LBP2. Can't wait until January!2010-10-03 17:49:00

I have to say, with everyone saying how really buggy it is, let's hope it doesn't pull a GT5 and get delayed again

But, it's nice to see they care, and they're happy about with this reaction:

Oh no why! Oh well at least it'll be better.

To summerize it in a few words

The thing I love about some game developers and their team is that they care about the people who play their games. I thought there would be more negative than positive comments but that seems to not be the case. There are more positive than negative comments about the delay which is a shock. It all comes down to two things:

1.Would you rather have a game full of bugs and tugs on November 16th?
2.Or would you like to have a game that is free of bugs and is so much better in January?

Obviously, you would pick number 2. God speed Mm!

Sure, it's pretty alright for everyone who got into the beta, and NA are yet to have theirs. But think how we (people who didn't get in) feel, we're not going to get into the beta and we have to wait longer to play a game we really desire.

It really angers me!

Until you delete your Pod, or break something else.
Then you come to the forums, and rant and rave about what a shoddy product Media Molecule made!

Lol, has that actually happened? I'm glad it is delayed, that sounds scary.

I do believe at least one person has been able to delete their Pod.
I can't find a vid of it, so you'll have to trust my word for it.

kolbaskat and Barbed-Wire (and a few others) had something called the God Glitch, where he could use create mode tools in the Pod and in Story Levels. Awesome glitch, but MM gave it the highest priority and shut down any levels that had stuff gained through the God Glitch, and told the ones who had the God Glitch not to tell how to do it. I guess MM doesn't want people peeking into their stuff ^^
@Moderators: If this is forbidden, remove this at once, please. I don't want to get banned from the beta. I just assumed that I were allowed to post this, because the NDA has been lifted.

Here's a video of it (the one by Barbed-Wire got removed):
