"Layer" Camera? [IDEA]

Archive: 5 posts

Hi Sackburf's An' Girfs! This Would Be A Type Of Camera Where You Could Make It Activate While In A Specific Layer You Set It To, Or A Specific Object So When Your Touching The Object It Would Activate The Camera! Sadly That's All Of Got So Far But You Guys Discuss It And Tell Me What You Think

I'm certain you can already do this with a camera and a MGS Spotlight, but it wouldn't be streamlined.

I don't understand the "Object touching camera" myself, but I'm sure there would be all kinds of uses for it!

Well, you can put switches to specific layers in LBP2 if I'm not mistaking, so connecting them to the cam would result in the desired effect, no?
You can also already put a grab switch on grabbable materials and connect ti to cameras so they activate whenever you grave them, if that's what you meant.
Or did you meansomething differently?

Yes, sensor swithces can be layer specific (do NOT burst my bubble) , just hook one up to the camera.
And a Collision/Impact Switch hooked up the the camera will do the colliding thing

[/stating the same as before posts]
[/adding own point]

So I think it's perfectly possible, you just have to bother to dig those switches from the depths of your Popit

That is correct, there's a layer specific setting in some of the sensors and the impact sensor can be used for that too.

What's really cool, is that you can make any object grabbable. Though it's a bit odd looking when your grabbing a piece of invisible hologram, a bit buggy occasionally.
