Jalape?o's Box Of Tricks (spoilers!)
Archive: 22 posts
Hey, everyone! I'm working on a new series (see the title) that continues from the PS3 story mode, exclusively for the PSP. You'll find it by looking up "Jalape?o" or my username (Snicklin) on the Community Moon. The story takes place in The Canyons (or Mexico, whichever you prefer) where you have to meet up with Uncle Jalape?o to help him find his box of missing fireworks that he believes he lost when he was jailed in Boom Town. When the two of you arrive, you find that it isn't there, and Jalape?o assumes that it was taken by a thief, claiming that it was his. You trudge on to find that, ironically, there is a thief's den nearby. And to you and Uncle Jalape?o's surprise, there is a thief holding Uncle Jalape?o's box of fireworks, but he escapes before you can touch him. Eventually catching up to him, you find the box just sitting there... in a suspicious manner. When you go to get it, it falls into a pit. The Collector (didn't see that coming, huh?) ascends from the pit, taking the box with him, leaving you and Uncle Jalape?o flabbergasted. I know. The first two levels suck at best. But that's why I'm here: to take suggestions from some of you creative sackfolk to make the rest of the plot more interesting. Thanks! | 2010-10-01 21:44:00 Author: Snicklin Posts: 83 |
Is this for PSP? If not, you posted in the wrong section. | 2010-10-01 22:44:00 Author: HappyGreenCactus Posts: 247 |

thats great, at least to me, becouse i didnt bought the PS3 nor the game, and i whould LOVE to see part of the story (or the new part of the story ) is it already online? | 2010-10-03 16:42:00 Author: nosemomkey Posts: 414 |
The first two parts are now available. Just search my username and you'll find the first two. You might need to know the story of the PS3 version to completely understand what's going on, though. I'm going to release a remake of the second level in a few after I'm done with part three. It seems a bit...unfinished. | 2010-10-04 01:40:00 Author: Snicklin Posts: 83 |

| 2010-10-06 02:05:00 Author: Snicklin Posts: 83 |

Well... i was on the first part right now and couldn't pass the part in which you're stuck and you get to accept some help from explosives. Anyways, good level | 2010-10-11 08:24:00 Author: EdwardTen Posts: 43 |
Oh, yeah... the first one's pretty hard. Okay, so here's what you do: After pulling the lever that makes the boulder roll down the hill, the way to the other lever will be opened. Go and pull that one to detonate the boulder, and you can pass. You will come to a bunch of gears spinning in midair. There is a snake hidden by the big rock where the "Zzzz..." appeared. Grab it, pull it out, and use it to cross the gears. If you get stuck just pull it. You can stand in front of the checkpoint to re-spawn the snake. | 2010-10-11 15:32:00 Author: Snicklin Posts: 83 |
No... it's AFTER the snake part. | 2010-10-11 19:15:00 Author: EdwardTen Posts: 43 |
Um... jump down from the hill and use the skull to boost yourself onto the shuttle. When you arrive on the red non-grabbable material, walk to the right and you will find the scoreboard. Once again, this level is particularly flawed. That is, in comparison to the new one I'm working on. | 2010-10-12 01:42:00 Author: Snicklin Posts: 83 |
I've just released a beta version of Part 3. If anyone could tell me what they like or dislike about the level, let me know. Search "5488237" or my username on the community moon to find the level. | 2011-01-23 13:50:00 Author: Snicklin Posts: 83 |

/Revive/ Hello, everybody! The official third part has been released. I'm halfway done with part four. As of now, I don't need to worry about a plot line that much, but eventually it will need to come into play. Tell me: why did the Collector return? Was stealing uncle Jalape?o's fireworks right under your nose a method of luring you in to a trap? A review or suggestion would be excellent. | 2011-06-01 16:52:00 Author: Snicklin Posts: 83 |
