Some good forums where English is spoken

Archive: 10 posts

Could you tell me some?
I want to improve my english, and instead of paying over 9000? for a journey to the US, I just want to talk (well, write (; ) in English.

I would prefer forums about video games, especially PS3 for sure.

Also a good option:
add me in ICQ: 224452560
I'm gonna talk alot with you, so be sure if you want to add me

Thanks,
IndianaStatic

Yes but 1 is not enough for me, since the other I used to visit became boring, and it wasn't about video games2008-10-27 20:00:00

I thought we spoke French here O_o

And if you really want to improve your English, just stay in this forum. Going to several forums at once won't make a difference. As you post more, your grammar and spelling will improve, as long as you tend to fix your mistakes, and look at the posts of those who do speak English fluently here.

That's not entirely true.

It all depends on the person.
Many people learn more from practical work, while many others learn more from observing.

Chances are higher that his English will improve at a quicker rate if he does visit more than one forum.
Also, if he visits a larger number of forums, then he will see a wider variety of words and sentence structures, albeit most will be slightly incorrect, but that's a matter he'll have to live with if he wants to improve his English through the internet.

Personally, I don't know of many other good forums.
You could try the official Playstation forums though; on the few occasions I've passed by there it seems like they have a pretty solid community.

Good luck anyway.

As long as he visits the right forums.
Not the general forums where 98% of the members speak noob, like GT. I don't want members here throwing around links to forums that would scar the guy <_<
And yeah, Playstation forum is actually pretty good.

Isn't that why asked for a "good" forum?
Who's the fool going to invite him to the GT General Discussion forums? xD

And I'm the one stalking.
I can't help but be antagonistic towards him. It's always him posting something awesome to reply to. xD
Nope, not yet. My copy is waiting forty kilometers away in that little shop I go to... waiting for the weekend to swing around so that I can pick it up... ah, well. *shrug*

Btw, the last (English) forum besides LBPC I visited was destroyed by a raid of 4chan.

Well, I regis... registrated (?) because of the raid, but the forum-link doesn't work(s, with or without? It's embarassing that I don't know this now, it's like a blackout) anymore. The cancer included around 850 people
