Beter Corner Edit Tool?

Archive: 16 posts

I have been playing a lot of LBP PSP lately and therefore have gotten used to the PSP's Corner Edit tool. However when I went back to the original LBP it really struck me how much better the PSP's Corner Edit is. Now since I'm not in thez betaz () I don't know if this has been changed or not in LBP2. I would like to know if you guys think they should change it to be more like the PSP's or even if there's something else you wan't the tool to be able to do.2010-09-30 18:57:00

it seems to be a bit faster, but other than that it's still basically the same.2010-09-30 19:04:00

Is the bug where an object becomes un-editable still on existence?

Wait do you mean the one in the beta or the one on PSP?

It still doesn't have the multiple corner feature like LBP PSP does.

It also still seems very inaccurate when it comes to choosing your edge.

i find it anoying in the first lbp where you select the corner and it does that big bright dot on it, you cant see exactly where your putting it cos its too big and in the way, i hope they make it smaller.2010-09-30 19:16:00

Yeah this is exactly what I want. Can someone in the beta please tell us if Corner Edit has changed at all in the beta?

The corner editor is a lot faster in LBP2.

The actual look of the outline of an object when you select it is also a lot crisper and easier to see which corner is being selected.

What I really want to know is if stickers will still drift when corner editing something.2010-09-30 19:56:00

I hope they make it so there is not a big bright dot so you have to guess where the corner is because that is super annoying when making tiny precise objects.2010-10-01 04:04:00

Do you guys have your popits with a Hot (Red, orange, etc.) collour of a cool (Blue Purple, etc.) colour?
It seems it's way more difficult to corner edit with Hot/ bright colored popits than wit cool/ dark-ish colored ones, so maybe try changing your popit colours?

Hope that helps!

The bright dot is now replaced with a few pixels large square thingy. It doesn't like to choose the correct corner (or no corners at all), so nothing changed there. A bit faster and a bit more accurate though. The stickers still move while editing.

I have tested all of those myself in the beta.

I totally agree. If you need to be precise with editing it's difficult to get close enough to the exact spot you want to select without it 'snatching' to the nearest corner.

It's just as difficult to see past the few pixels large square thingy, which looks a bit like a jacks stone without the middle bit, as it was to see past the bright dot.

It may just be me but the camera doesn't seem to zoom in as close when corner editing either. Also it's still just as hard to make curves! It feels 'clumsy' to me.

It is clumsy. Maybe MM could make a smooth corner editing tool that would add extra vertices if making too sharp corners so it would be a bit rounded.

Yes, I'm going to suggest that.

I hate to be the spelling nazi, but shouldn't the title be spelled "better"?2010-10-05 15:05:00
