Data Transfer Utility - Lost Levels?

| I would be very grateful if anyone could offer some advice in how to resolve my issue? My PS3 Blu Ray Drive failed so I purchased a new console and performed the Data Transfer Utility. Everything seems to have copied fine including my LBP profile and a further file stored in the Game Data Utility area however when I start LBP from the disc in the new console it will not recognise my old profile and creates a new one and corresponding file. As a result I have lost all my levels Does anyone have any advice how I can resolve this and restore my levels etc on to my new PS3? Thanks | 2010-09-29 15:49:00 Author: Unknown User  |
| Welcome! Glad ya made it! Seems there is a handy tutorial somewhere concerning that. Oh wait... try this help thread, especially the last post. https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33720-Backing-up-data. It sounds like you need to backup your profile and then restore that profile inside LBP. | Thanks for the advice - I have moved the post to the help area as suggested (new to this so didn't realise I had posted in the wrong place) I have added some info though as I cannot back up the profile on the old console because the disc drive is dead. The profile when backed up in the game saves to the Save Data Utility but the profile copy I have (on the old and new console) is in the Game Data Utility and this cannot be copied or imported into the game????.....
