I can vouch for the fact that this mech can walk and stand upright. I saw it being built in LBP1.

It can also roar which is an awesome sight.

Needless to say also that the mech looks great.

Looks pretty good. Most of the time when I see stuff like this, it looks great as long as you only see it from the side but if you angle the camera to the front or back, it looks terrible. This one seems to look just fine from all angles (the fact that its eyes are on the sides of its head helps). I would suggest replacing the green front-of-the-shoulder parts with thack pieces just to make 'em a little thinner so they look like they fit better, but otherwise a very solid visual design.

I'd be interested in seeing a video to see if its walking animation looks realistic at all (seems that getting a good walking animation in lbp2 is still a challenge).

Oh i love that Mech~ its the best thing about the show.... Well and Rey was cute ;3
but IMO the story was horrible... but then again who watchs Mech for their stories?? *mew
sadly but true... then again maybe no one watchs them for their stories they never have very good ones~ :I

Anyways back to what matters... the Mech, it looks really Nice!
Far as design goes, You make the best mechs i've seen, ;3

Ohhh that's a nice replica there m8, been looking for a good version of it on LBP1, but no one sems to have gotten to it, so I can say that is perhaps that's the best one in LBP. (1 and/ or 2. )

Oh come on. It was just a bit of constructive criticism. Even Rtm joined in (a bit more harshly than I expected) about your Rex's walk cycle. We weren't trying to be mean: we just thought it could use some polishing to make it look more realistic (well, I dunno: maybe Rtm was trying to be mean but he doesn't seem the ornery type he doesn't seem the especially ornery type um... yeah, he was probably just being mean ). I guess I have been laying it on a little thick though. Sorry about that.		2010-09-30 07:53:00

When I see the words "fully functional" and "EVA", I'm expecting it to go berserk, pull out sonic knives, eat stuff, etc. =P

Anyway, I think visually it looks great and as accurate as you probably can get design-wise. I guess we'll just have to wait to see it in motion. Hopefully there's more than just running and shooting. It's EVA so I'm expecting big things, lol.

Woah, nice. I saw another mech (not Eva) that fired impact bombs at a machine-gun rate. If you're able to do that here (for example, hiding a sackbot with a creatinator hat inside the barrel of the gun and firing bombs or whatever) the effect could look really awesome.2010-10-02 03:12:00

The gun it's holding doesn't look like it's from the series or manga though, which is kinda disappointing. Plus the pylons are far too short.

For the new movies, yes. There are also other changes between the TV series and Rebuild of Evangelion. In the series for instance EVA 01 doesn't have a green stripe across the torso.		2010-10-02 09:38:00
