Bunnies Just Wanna Have FunFoofles After your ship was tossed through a storm, you approach the mystical island sanctuary of the bunnies; as long as the sacred Happy Tree stands, the bunnies will only know happiness. What could possibly go wrong? Let the good times roll I really hope you enjoy this, I worked very hard on it. Please let me know if you encounter any issues, especially technical ones like lag or no sound. Enjoy! If you are stuck on the musical puzzle: 1-2-3-4-3 . If you still can't get it, well, I'm sorry. --- REPUBLISHED --- Changes - Minor changes to boss fight, a little hint in the musical section, and the spikey enemies are now made of wood so they are heavier. | 2010-09-28 00:02:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
Ok I played your level and here's what I thought: Gameplay was pretty good and varied, there were some good tricky bits and some innovative sections as well. Loved the variety of this level; it really encompassed all sorts of genres in LBP, with the water, dragon, island, and gloomy parts all flowing together very well. The boss battle was really creative, loved the way he moved and shot fire. I thought it got a bit repetitive and those grabbable things to swing on disappeared too quickly. The visuals were pretty good, it looked a little crammed in at parts though. I love how you make all the characters move though, and those bunnies on the unicorns were hilarious! I noticed quite a few visible motor/wobble bolts, and there were also some visible sensor switches. The piston connected to the dragon that brings you up to the clouds was visible as well. But overall the level was polished and the lighting was good, especially in the dark gloomy parts. I noticed the magic seed didn't have enough stickers to cover up the dissolve, and I don't like how the decorations show through the wood material when the tree grows. I liked how there were so many secret areas in the level, such as in the water. It was a good way to use up space, but I thought maybe you should incorporate an objective somewhere in the water that would open up a door to the next part of the island. I think this was probably your best level though, especially from a varied gameplay standpoint. I gave it 5 stars. Please play my Spy Chronicles Part 2 or Las Vegas level for the F4F. Thanks!! | 2010-09-28 02:07:00 Author: wolverinebball2 Posts: 55 |
This is so on my playlist Foofles. I got sidetracked Monday night and didn't get to it. I'm sorry. | 2010-09-28 06:35:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Okay, some real feedback. I enjoyed the level, you can't go wrong with bunnies. The gameplay was sound, and I liked the secret routes you could take for prizes. One problem I had was with the music puzzle. The first time it took a decent amount of time to figure it out, but I think that was just me. What happened after though is the strange part. I had to restart the level at one point (my fault, I'm hopeless at platforming) and I thought I could do it without the hint, as I had already figured it out last time. However, whenever I got to the third code piece, it made that buzzer noise and I had to start the sequence over. I used the hint, and then the code worked. I might have messed up some how the first time, but I don't think that is very likely. I'm just wondering if you made it so it is required to play the hint first? Or if you can do it straight off? Anyway, my only other gripe was the boss fight. I really didn't feel challenged by it at all. My thoughts would be to make the dragon shoot a large line of plasma balls instead of one single one that is very easy to predict and dodge. Other than that, I felt it was a solid level, easily:star::star::star::star::star:, and deserving of a <3. | 2010-09-28 06:37:00 Author: srgt_poptart Posts: 425 |
This is a really fun level. And as usual: it's deceptive cuteness doesn't make it any less challenging and tricky. Loved the character-design. Really liked the secret areas in the beginning. Musical puzzle was rather tough (for me at least). Challenging but fun boss-fight (was it intended that only the outer two balls on chains hoist you up to the hiddenplatform?) Some great new obstacles and ideas, like the swinging ball that explodes, and the hanging-by-the-tail-avoiding-fiery-balls-of-death. All in all: a great, fast-paced whacky-but-though action adventure. If you're up for F4F please give my level Forbidden Temple of the Hollow Mask (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=31410-Forbidden-Temple-of-the-Hollow-Mask) a try. | 2010-09-28 08:08:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |

Oh gosh... more bunnies? Count me in. I have been out of town, but this will be my first level to play in a long time. | 2010-09-28 21:45:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
You published it! Oh Man! Your supposed to wait for me to beta test it first before you release it to everyone else! Ill play it for sure! EDIT: Played you level! Heres what I thought: -loved the storyline! -Bunnys were as cute and funny as always! -Happy tree was funny looking ^-^ -VERY odd glitch: After the happy tree is eaten, where the puzzle with the opening door and rising/falling platforms are, When the platforms started moving, extreme lag occured, and I died four times. I couldnt replay the level because I did not have time! I will soon! (I was playing on my own) I hope this helps! Maybe it was just my connection with the bug, but It only lagged at that part, and that part only! | 2010-09-28 21:57:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
Oh! *adds to "my queue"* | 2010-09-28 22:14:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
That was a really fun level. The character designs are cleverly made especially the bunnies and the gameplay is brilliant. The dragon boss battle is epic too. Some things that should be fixed are the enemies with two brains on each side that they flipped easily if you hit one of the brains so I suggest try changing the material of the enemy to an heavier one so that it won't get flipped. The other is hanging on to the dragon's tail that you could easily get squished by between the two shapes so maybe...uh just try to find out how to fix it. Overall, great job on the visuals and gameplay. 5 :star:s and a <3. I already asked you to F4F any one of "The Hero Chronicles" levels back in my reply of your other level so I guess you can also F4F one of the two levels that hasn't reach the cool level pages yet which are LV4 and LV5. | 2010-09-29 05:00:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
This level was really enjoyable. There are plenty of interesting things going on in the background and I really like the change of tone when the dragon eats the tree. The music puzzle was clever but the buzzer that sounds when you get it wrong should be much louder, I didn't notice it for ages which gave the that the puzzle might be broken. Also, it would be nice if the hint mentioned that timing was important. The boss seemed good but I got a lot of lag around the boss part of the level, which made it very difficult to play. The lag might have been caused by my connection but the rest of the level (including after the boss) was completely lag free. Overall I thought it was a very good level: :star::star::star::star::star: Please F4F my level "Save the Burning Village!". Thanks. | 2010-09-29 19:53:00 Author: Unknown User |
Thanks for playing guys ...I got a lot of lag around the boss part of the level, which made it very difficult to play. The lag might have been caused by my connection but the rest of the level (including after the boss) was completely lag free.... If anyone else gets really bad lag in certain parts of the level can you let me know? For the most part the level ran fine for me but now playing it I get an odd amount of lag around the boss and the section before the flaming logs. There is really nothing there to cause much lag so it's strange, only happened recently. I assume network issues. Also, if there are odd issues with sound like no sound or music playing or the sounds mixing strangely can you let me know? Yes it's intentional only the outer balls raise you up to the platforms with the boss. As far as the musical puzzle, nobody ever had a problem with the buzzer before.. hmm.. though I guess I could make it more apparent. Also I guess you're right in that the player should know to restart the entire sequence when the buzzer hits. Is that what you mean by timing? Because otherwise timing is not important, just order. Basically the buzzer rings when you hit a series of 5 notes that are wrong. | 2010-09-29 20:19:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
I love your bunnies Fantastic stuff. Loved all the optional areas, and some really innovative platforming. Even the up/down columns, which are overused generally, were done in a creative and fresh way. Zany, colorful, and challenging. Another winner! | 2010-09-30 02:08:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Bunnies, bunnies! And a secret sanctuary on mystical island! What could go wrong with this theme? Not much. Good: +Characters: they were cute and detailed. +Secrets: Not too hard to get to but neither too easy. +Gameplay was just brilliant! Loved the puzzles and boss. +Visuals were very good. Not too detailed to make it ugly but neither not too undetailed. Bad: -Is there a reason to put anything on 'Bad' list? Nope. Not in this level there is not! Found nothing bad about it. Overall: :star:.star:.star::star::star: Number one work! Great level Foofles! As F4F could you play my level:''Marshy Dungeon of Mysteries''. I worked really hard on it aswell so I can appreciate other people doing the same. | 2010-09-30 10:03:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |

I couldnt replay the level because I did not have time! I will soon! (I was playing on my own) I hope this helps! Maybe it was just my connection with the bug, but It only lagged at that part, and that part only! If anyone else has this happen please let me know. I've started to have this issue as well occasionally in the last few builds of the level. It would be a great help to me if when you try it again you let me know if you get the same lag, and if you do, if doing a reset of your PS3 fixes it. (Shut down the system, turn off the switch in the back, unplug from power for a minute and boot it back up) If this fixes the lag issues I think we just discovered a serious memory leak problem in LBP. Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed what you saw so far | 2010-10-01 03:35:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
Im going to play it again soon, Ive moved my PS3 recently, so Ill see if that will help! | 2010-10-02 00:09:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
I just played your level & heres my feedback: Positives: +Visuals looked Amazing +Scenary very good +Platforming pretty good +Very fun level Negatives: -Gameplay: It was going great until after the monster came down by the tree the level got really really laggy & I couldn't finish the level. Overall the level is a must play::star::star::star::star::star: F4F my level SSBB- BattleShip Harlberd Interior | 2010-10-02 02:29:00 Author: Sabre_ Posts: 653 |
Thanks for the reply. I'm really not digging this random lag problem... it makes me think memory leak, there's nothing in my design that should be laggy. It goes away when you reset the PS3 so that just screams memory leak to me. Engine error. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed what you could muster. If anyone has some spare time, could you play my level a bunch of times over? Not even necessarily to completion, just going some ways and restarting, and tell me if the lag gets worse? IF at some points sounds (like the music puzzle) stop playing? | 2010-10-02 04:11:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
Ok so here is my +/- list as I play through the level. +I love all the motion in your environment, it gives the level a life of it's own that I rarely see. +I enjoy seeing enemies in levels, the crabs look cool. +I liked the platforming on the tree that grows out of the ground. +Nice memory/listening puzzle. Haven't seen one of those yet in lbp! +contrast of the happy tree with a DRAGON! +Nice shift in the mood of the level it keeps the player interested as you probably already know. +Timed platforms that move high up or low down sort of reminded me of megaman. +Another shift in the clouds. I like how the changes in background never feel forced. It's all one continuous thing. Overall I really enjoyed the level 5 stars and a heart! Could I please get F4F on my newest level Into the Castle Depths, thanks. | 2010-10-02 04:38:00 Author: zynax555 Posts: 170 |
I have some ideas I'll experiment on to get rid of the lag. Nothing you guys will see will be affected, as far as I fathom it's not caused by any of the visuals or gameplay elements but I think I do know what, I'm leaving a note here to test it tomorrow. It'd be a lot simpler and would be less worrysome if it happened consistently and at the same place for everyone. Anyone I owe feedback, I'll get on it asap, don't be shy to PM me if you think I skipped you. Thanks all for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed what you saw. | 2010-10-03 06:02:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
Funny... The name reminds of of "Rayman Raving Rabbits" a videogame. There was a dancing level named "Bunnies Just wanna have fun" Thought i should mention. I will play the level next time im online and come back with a real "Feedback" ...after that, you might like to check my F4F level; "Ice-Cream Factory". Thank you | 2010-10-03 15:31:00 Author: Mick'o'Mania Posts: 83 |

Possibly will publish again with other improvements if the lag is ok. | 2010-10-03 20:24:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
Nice bonus sections, although camera was awkward coming back up. Timed grabby swing thing was a really neat idea. I might have to steal this. Good job adding those warning lights on the dragon ride. Only thing that annoyed me was the dark matter clouds. I had fun. As for lag, it did stop for about half a second while introducing some sections. But no slow down which is good. Unrelated note... shropshire-lass always beats my score! rawr. By a few hundred this time. | 2010-10-08 01:53:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
You could tell it's dark mater? lol on my display it looks white enough, but ah well, all in the name in saving some thermo. Glad you had fun | 2010-10-09 20:59:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
I would have loved to finish this, but the darn door thing was just too esoteric for me. Way too many combinations possible there. I gave up after a while. Sad. I was enjoying the level to that point. I have a feeling that's stopping a lot of other people as well. | 2010-10-10 20:24:00 Author: thanatos989 Posts: 248 |

I was enjoying the level to that point. I have a feeling that's stopping a lot of other people as well. It's a musical puzzle, not necessarily a guessing game, just match the tones with the hint the ball all the way to the right gives you. If it's really too much for people... I'm going to leave a spoiler hint of how to do it in the first post. | 2010-10-11 02:46:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
You could tell it's dark mater? lol on my display it looks white enough, but ah well, all in the name in saving some thermo. Glad you had fun Yeah, It might be just me as I have been trying to get away with using it in my own level, and have been experimenting a bit. As for the musical door.. At first I was like...omg how the heck am I going to do this?! (I hated this in another level I played (as it had a death concequence and limited checkpoint lol)) But then I pulled the switches one by one noticing thankfully they arn't randomly placed, and go up (or down I can't remember) in scale/tone/whatever the term is. (it's pitch!) As a fail safe I would recommend a timer/hint setup for the not so musically inclined. Or add a visual element like coloured light or something. | 2010-10-11 06:04:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Very nice. The platforming was very well designed and enjoyable. I had a lot of fun playing it. Now for the quibbles. The little spike enemy guys were too easy: they basically weren't a threat at all and I could just push 'em around. Conversely, the boss was, I think, too hard. First, the brains were semi-obscured: I didn't even notice that when I killed one, it would spin another one out until after I thought I'd killed 'em all and couldn't figure out why it wasn't dead (though if I had a brighter player color, they might've been easier to see). I was annoyed that the little swinging sponges would lower just in time for the dragon to go to the middle of the area where I couldn't reach him, and they'd disappear almost immediately after he started moving again--it made them nearly useless. I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but the bottom left brain spinner didn't spin all the way and the last brain was left inside his mouth where I had the darndest time reaching it. It was only after I finally realized that the outside sponges would take me up to the higher level that I was able to drop in through the top of his head and hit that last brain... so yeah, I guess that might've been on purpose. Maybe a camera angle that shows the higher platform when you stand near those outside sponges would be nice. Other than the boss, I enjoyed the level. Very nicely done. | 2010-10-11 07:41:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
Hi Foofles I saw your creator spotlight a few weeks ago and I have to admit (shame on me) that I never played one of your levels before. I stumbled over the spotlight today and I just wanted to play this one :-) I had a great time here and this level has it all: very cute and funny characters (or should I say: legendary? bunnies bunnies bunnies - awesome), nice plattforming, some fresh ideas of gameplay, a touching story, cool changes in atmosphere due to lighting (day/night-switch) and of course: points points points :-) What I really love is the fun-factor of this level: for, me this level a great example what LBP is all about! There is just one con from my side: the boss-fight. Don't get me wrong: I think that it took a lot of logic to get this thing started, but I think it's a crack in gameflow cause you have to walk up / jump up often to hit these brains. And when I noticed it right: after the first brains have been destroyed, a second line of brains appears. I really liked the look and the attack-pattern, but I didn't like the way how to beat him... Nevertheless, a must play level. Nothing else than :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 for this baby... ehm, er, I mean: bunny :-) Neo ps: if you find some time and a buddy: you can try my new co-op level Attender-Alliance. Have fun! | 2010-10-11 15:53:00 Author: (___NEO___) Posts: 206 |
I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but the bottom left brain spinner didn't spin all the way and the last brain was left inside his mouth where I had the darndest time reaching it. No, that sounds like a bug that I haven't encountered yet . The idea is when you kill all the outer brains, a second set appears. It shouldn't get stuck like that though... I think I know why, I re-uploaded the level to fix his jaw-line but it interfered with the things spinning out again I guess... ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Though to be honest, I did have the darndest time getting a means to kill the boss that actually worked. Sackboy lacks so much agility that all my initial plans failed, but I had already put so much work into his attack patterns that I just had to do something. The idea behind the inner sponges is that you'd hit him as he does his body slam move thing. As for the musical door.. I thought of doing some kind of light indication so you know how much of a 5-note sequence you input, but I want it to be purely tone based. There is that sponge on the right that tells you what sequence to put in, so it's really just matching the tone. I guess I'll throw in some more timed hints, there is one hint that tells you the phrase ascends and then descends at the end. Thanks for all the great feedback guys and I'm glad you enjoyed it | 2010-10-12 15:20:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
I have played your level and it has seemed to me to be very enterteining, the scene is very good, the entertaining game-play and is just as he says this so called song " Girls just wanna have fun " though in a history done with rabbits. I have liked your level and I have amused myself playing it. I have given you 5 :star:'S I wait could play to my new level and say your opinion to me thank you: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=37548-Sacktastic-Ptts-Pipe-Dreams-(LBP2) | 2010-10-12 15:26:00 Author: psyntens Posts: 562 |
Yeah, I figured it was probably a bug. Glad I was able to point out something helpful then Hope you're able to get it fixed. I always look back at my posts and realize they seem very negative: like a couple lines saying "nice level" and then two paragraphs saying "I didn't like blah blah blah." It's nice to know that some good came of it. I had actually forgotten the music notes part until I saw your reply to midnight. I actually struggled with that a bit because I was never sure where in the combination I was. I agree that you wouldn't want to add indicator lights as that would spoil the feel of the puzzle and make it even easier than it already is, but perhaps revising the logic a bit would be in order? My problem was that if I'd entered a wrong note, I'd try to start over immediately but the game was still in the middle of the sequence, so I'd get halfway through my second attempt and I'd get the "bzzzt" failure sound. What you could do is have it reset and bzzzt whenever the wrong tone is played so that the player can immediately start over: it would be less confusing that way. Incidentally, the fact that I persisted through the boss fight even though I found it frustrating is testament to how well this level was made--if it were a level I didn't like, I would've just quit. It helped that the boss was pretty darn cool looking. | 2010-10-12 20:03:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
What you could do is have it reset and bzzzt whenever the wrong tone is played so that the player can immediately start over: it would be less confusing that way. This was my original idea, but I was afraid that people would just cheat. But... it's probably a lot less frustrating that way. I'm glad you liked the level thanks a lot, I'm going to republish this sometime today with some fixes. I'll also change the little spikey enemies, I gotta confess they were the last thing I put in the level... kinda hacked together. I'll make them heavier so you can't just shove them around. OK - republished! I decided to keep the current logic in the music puzzle for now. | 2010-10-12 22:38:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
Very fun level. I played it a while ago, just never posted here. I gave it 5 stars, because it had that fun Foofles feeling to it, and the gameplay was smooth. Also, the music puzzle was great! | 2010-11-25 21:01:00 Author: iBubek Posts: 682 |
