Alright, I've changed a couple of things that should make our lives easier. Now, only Staff, Elite, and Gold users can use the and BB Codes. This is to prevent users from using it recklessly(i.e. "[SIZE=5][COLOR=yellow]HI!"), while still allowing the more seasoned users to use it effectively(i.e. "Important Information:"). It's a small tweak, but it should improve the overall neatness of the forums. | 2008-10-27 03:40:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
IDK if everyone is going to like this........ although i like writing in pink makes me feel unique | 2008-10-27 04:01:00 Author: Thee-Flash Posts: 3154 |
While it may make you feel unique it is very hard and annoying to read. Great move CC used sparingly it can be a good thing to bring attention to something critical for all users, used excessively it is just annoying and bad netiquette. Cheers QuozL | 2008-10-27 04:29:00 Author: QuozL Posts: 921 |
i don't see how it's annoying?? | 2008-10-27 04:38:00 Author: Thee-Flash Posts: 3154 |
Considering the distinct lack of normal usage of those features, I'd say that's a good change. For those handful of you who actually used those features... Sorry. But I used to do the same thing, a good deal back (and on a different forum(s), in case anyone randomly decides to look). And...you'll get over it. The more you post, the more you forget to do it. Plus, you can still change font, if you want, along with the standard, more useful and more used (although I think I'm one of the few consistent users) bold, italics, and underline. Use them well. Edit: And it can get annoying because it can be a very bright color, against this white background, and then the sheer lack of contrast and focus needed to actually read it causes eye strain. And can do the same even if not trying to read it. | 2008-10-27 04:39:00 Author: Mark D. Stroyer Posts: 632 |

I sent you a PM and you didnt reply. 10/30/2008 9:03 | 2008-10-31 03:03:00 Author: Coltfirearms Posts: 269 |
This really shouldn't be a problem to anyone. There's no really good reason anyone below those ranks would need them. And seeing people post in bright colors does nothing but **** me off tbh. Colt, if you truly can't get over this, you have problems. | 2008-10-31 04:28:00 Author: BassDeluxe Posts: 984 |
HA HA! >_> Sorry about that. Someone had to do it, and, uh... <_< So, around 20 people can use it here? Hm, oh well. Never even used it in the first place. | 2008-10-31 13:46:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

I think if you don't like it, you should get over it. It's been done to make things easier for everyone. You can't expect everyone to change everything just because you don't like it. | 2008-11-01 20:52:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |

Rofl. Maybe I can be special with you? | 2008-11-02 23:14:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
Rofl. Maybe I can be special with you? I highly doubt that you can. Personally, me being the ultimate king of evil, I am more special then thou. Anyway, PERSONALLY, I think it's weird how Gold and Elite members are judged to be more trustworthy, when I'M Gold. o_0 | 2008-11-02 23:19:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
O RLY? Well, I'm the Ultimate king of mostly evil but a little bit nice when nobody is looking. HAHA! | 2008-11-02 23:22:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
So what? | 2008-11-02 23:55:00 Author: Unknown User |
Well, this is embarrassing, but I'll be out with it anyway: It turns out the setting only affected signatures, and no setting exists to disallow certain bbcode for certain usergroups throughout the site. Still, I'd prefer it if you guys just used it when it was necessary, and not in everyday posting. | 2008-11-03 00:15:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
