"Has one input and one output. The output is always the opposite of the input."
It is like an inverter. If an sensor isn't inverted, and connect to this gate, the output will be inverted. This is something very useful to don't have to make another sensor. You can invert its input.
Inputs: 1
Outputs: 1

http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/7536/aphoto68.jpg
Microchip
"A powerful and handy device. Use it to save space and avoid cluttering your creations with gadgets and logic and what-have-you."
A super super useful Logic thingy. It saves lots of space. It makes you don't need to place all the logic, creatinators, sensors, all on an object. You can make also inputs and outputs, which is very useful, making you don't need to, for example: You copy the microchip, already connected, and wanna place on another object, and another, and another... This would take time to "Open Microchip Circuit>Connect to the wanted logic, etc>Close Microchip Circuit". All you gotta do is connect to the inputs already automaticaly maded for you. You can place every of your Gadgets in it, except Connectors and Solid Sensors (Button, 2-Way Switch and 3-Way Switch). It have one input: ''Activate''. This activates your Microchip, making everything inside it start to work.
Its icon is a sticker, making you can remove it, and place another, what makes it more organizated.
You can place Microchips inside Microchips.
Inputs: 1 (Activate) (You can also create your own inputs )
Outputs: None (But you can create your own outputs)

Advanced Logic

It is a very useful thing. When its input get ON, if it is in OFF state, it will turn ON, and if already ON, it will turn OFF.
Inputs: 1 (Toggle)
Outputs: 1

http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/9835/aphoto71.jpg
Counter
"Counts events, for example button presses, up to (or down from) a given target count."
It is activated when it have been incremented the required number of times. You can set the required number of counts from 0 to 100. It doesn't have a function to reset when full in the tweak menu, but can be connected to itself to make reset when full. You can set its Length from 1.0X to 100.0X (0.5X = Small grid size, it you don't make it biger with the right stick)
Inputs: 2 (Increment and Reset)
Outputs: 1

Timer
"Your own persornal stopwatch."
Resembles the LBP1 Logic Timer. You can set the Target time (from 0.0 seconds to ∞ seconds) and the current time. Like the counter, it don't have a reset when full option, but you can connect its output to its reset input. You can it to Start/Stop, Forwards/Backwards (like a piston), Start counting up (if input gets on once, it will count up and will not stop if input gets off), Start counting down (will be ON the time of the Target Time), and speed scale. You can set its Length from 1.0X to 100.0X, just like the Counter.
Inputs: 2 ("Start/Stop, Forwards/Backwards, Start Counting Up, Start Counting Down or Speed Scale" and Reset)
Outputs: 1

http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/2117/aphoto72.jpg
Randomiser
"Add an element of unpredictability your creations."
*deep breath*
First, you have the Patterns, making the randomiser works at certain ways in the connected objects. The Paterns are:
"One at a Time", making when randomising, be only one output be on at a time.
"Add", making it randomise and add outputs. For example, if there where toggles that can't be turned off, and the randomiser output is connected to it, and it is connected at the object you want.
"Add and Reset When Full", works like the "Add", but will turn everything off when everything is added.
"Toggle", is like if the randomiser is connected to toggles and the toggles are connected to the objects of your choise.
You can change the time it is on and off, making this option can be also randomised between the wanted time.
You can set the Minimum ON Time, Maximum ON Time, Minimum OFF Time and Maximum OFF Time.
It may be inverted.

Inputs: 1 (On/Off)
Outputs: 1

http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/343/aphoto73.jpg
Direction Splitter
"Takes one input and converts it to two outputs."
It takes a input and converts into two outputs. It is very useful in Direction things (3-Way Swtich, Left Stick, Right stick), making it be on in the way it indicates (Up/Right = Plus, Down/Left = Minus).
Inputs: 1
Outputs: 2 (Plus and Minus)

http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/8633/aphoto74.jpg
Direction Combiner
"Takes two inputs and convert them to one output."

Selector
"Matching number of inputs and outputs as set by you. Always has only one output active at any given time. Used to manage lots of logic, selecting between what to turn on."
You can set the number of inputs and outputs simultaneous. It can have only one port (output) ON, and have the option to select between then by the cycling input and the inputs from every port. It can have from 2 to 100 ports.
Inputs: From 3 to 101 (Cycle and other ports, being able to have from 2 to 100 ports.)
Outputs: From 2 to 100

http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/8018/aphoto76.jpg
Sequencer
"Use this to make your Gadgets do stuff in the order you want them to."
Similiar to the Musical Sequencer, but this one is for logic, and instruments don't work there. It makes you able to make things be on at the time you want. The Input actions it have are: Start/Stop, Forwards/Backwards, Start playing forwards, Start playing backwards, Speed Scale and Positional.
You can set its trigger radius (From 0 to ∞, Loop (Yes or No), and seconds per stripe. Its icon is a sticker, making able to remove it and place a custom sticker, like the Microchip.
Inputs: 2 ("Start/Stop, Forwards/Backwards, Start playing forwards, Start playing backwards, Speed Scale or Positional" and Reset)
Outputs: None (You can create yours)

http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/7735/aphoto77.jpg
Controlinator
"Lets you control objects directly via the Wireless Controller."
You can use it to control things using the buttons of your controller. You can set if it has remote controling (For example, if there's a Red Transmitter, a Red Receiver will be remote controlled by it), Trigger Radius, Enter Automatically, Override Sackbot, Side-Mounted, Disable Pop-It and Visibility.
It has 18 Outputs:

"Add some atmosphere to your levels with this."
It emits Smoke to your levels, making you can set the speed, directions of where to emit (Up, Down, Left or Right) and the quantity of smoke.

You can also change the colour.

I hope that the new create tools have a ton of customization options, even if those options have no apparent use. Someone could use them for something.2010-09-26 16:21:00

How does the follower work?
I've already explained in its description:

"Attach to an object to make it follow you, or follow a tag."
You can make the object it's attached follow a tag or a player.
You can set it's Strength, Speed, Detection Area and follow tag or player.
It can follow you in a level, like the Tracking Logic from the Incinerator22's Logic Workshop (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=31753-Logic-Workshop)

Please fix spelling
It's 'Emitters'.

Otherwise, good info, could we have some more info about what has changed for existing objects? Especially when the changes are major.

First of all, I know this isn't News, but it's Media!

Hmmm, it's not news, no. SO I've moved it out of news and media to everything else LBP2. On the plus side, it's stickied, so overall I'd say win

Keep up the good work, this'll be an awesome resource for those not in the beta.

The inputs info i'm putting now.
also, the triangle indicates the direction it is (if we select the option Local Space, for movers)

Wow....THANKS ViniciusBR11! it's about time that someone ponied up and made this thread! Good on ya' for taking the time to help shed some light on these mysterious tools for us. (no offenese to you other beetah slackers out there )

I have a question. Aren't the Rotater and Advanced Rotator really just Motor Bolts and Wobble Bolts in disguise? Are these meant to replace these items in the game, or are they somehow different? Are Motor Bolts and Wobbles gone in LBP2 and these are their replacements?

I hope that the new create tools have a ton of customization options, even if those options have no apparent use. Someone could use them for something.
exactly lol great thinking there! they should make seemingly pointless tweaks who knows someone might want thier grab switch to look like the original or somehing like that!

hm, i've found one fixed, it seens be not officialy on the beta because if u add an object, for example, in the front layer, and the object tries to move push it to the foreground layer, it freezes, u can still move it, but it wont will change layer

You can get the In/Out mover from this level - Working In/Out Mover (LBP.me) (http://beta.lbp.me/v/zxsp).

Get it queued and next time you're on you can add it's information

Great guide, btw. Hope you update it so there's even more soon!

How for an update soon!!

I have a question. Aren't the Rotater and Advanced Rotator really just Motor Bolts and Wobble Bolts in disguise? Are these meant to replace these items in the game, or are they somehow different? Are Motor Bolts and Wobbles gone in LBP2 and these are their replacements?

Ooo ooo I know part of this.

The rotator and advanced rotator act just like the respective bolts, but unlike the bolts you dont need to attach it to anything.

Stick to rotator to the item (or it's microchip), adjust the settings and place the object anywhere you want. It will stay where you put it and spin (no dark/light matter or attaching to another object needed.)

Now that I got all excited, I hope I didn't just give out bad info. That's how it was explained to me.

And I think the bolts are still there, but I'm not sure.

As I understood (as my source explained to me), the Rotators rotate the object around it's centre of mass. So no messy attaching to other things!

And as I was watching Mm's tutorial vids recorded by someone in YouTube, I saw a Wobble Bolt, and I think there was a motor one. And there still is the Bolt.

Though I'm not in the beta, so... who am I to confirm anything... /runs following rocksauron wanting to be friends

XOR Gate
"Activated when one, but not more than one, of its inputs is active."
Works like the LBPCentral's Logic Pack XOR Switch.

Did the LBPC Logic Pack have an XOR in it?? I probably should have checked before posting this - I'm gonna look like a fool if we did

I certainly dont remember one... The only XORs I know of are the two in Cin's logic workshop.

(Admittedly though, it is *extremely* easy to turn LBPCLP-style AND gates into XOR gates.)

Thank you! LittleBIGPlanet is going quite high-tech!

Also, one mistake, chap:

Nothing, exactly nothing changed in it, except now there's an option to make it resets when full
You mean when it's empty, am I not right? When you hit a paintinator switch-activated object, it lowers the meter.
Or some new changes? O_O

R.I.P. 3D icons, hello LCD!
