What could be the answer to all of our lighting problems
Archive: 26 posts
The answer? Quite clearly presented in LBP 2... Vacuum! Or neon. Go look it up, see what vacuum does on LBP2. I'll post it here when I'm not lazy. | 2010-09-26 02:21:00 Author: DrCell ![]() Posts: 102 |
Not really. Vacuum is material that can light up, which is no different than regular lights, if not more complex. Just hang on a bit. Cambridge will figure something out. ![]() | 2010-09-26 02:25:00 Author: CyberSora ![]() Posts: 5551 |
Oh, I thought it was just a clear material that looks like lights but doesn't actually emit any. I actually came across a (to my knowledge) unreported glitch that could use glass as lighting, it would be passthrough, but unselectable. Ech. It actually looked like lighting too. Really?! *Leans nearer the monitor.* Spit it out man! | 2010-09-26 02:33:00 Author: CyberSora ![]() Posts: 5551 |
Well, I was corner editing this clear glass object between a metal thing for this space level. Behind the clear glass I put some gas to give a spacy atmosphere, but then I remembered the gas glitch. I left it there anyway. I corner edited the glass but made it go beyond the boundaries of the metal so all of the ends were inside the metal. I then tried to pick it up with the popit cursor, but I ended up picking up the gas. Not sure what caused it, but Sackboy could jump through it. I have yet to try this again, but if you do, tell me if it works! By the way, the metal and clear gas were single fat layers on the same plane, whereas the gas was one thin layer behind the glass. | 2010-09-26 02:41:00 Author: DrCell ![]() Posts: 102 |

This is interesting... http://www.gamespot.com/psp/action/littlebigplanet/show_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-52741374&pid=954362 Just to let people know, those are not future DLC or being planned for an update. AceCreator told me when I asked him about any planned global settings or lighting settings. | 2010-09-26 03:02:00 Author: ConverseFox ![]() Posts: 2333 |
Isn't that on LBP PS3? | 2010-09-26 06:54:00 Author: The-Questor ![]() Posts: 1328 |
yeah those vids aren't real. You can tell since there is audio, but there is no english dude voice. It was most likely left out because the guy who made these knew no one would beleive they were real if he tried to recreate the voice, because it wouldn't sound the same, i dunno. I wish they were real though. | 2010-09-27 04:12:00 Author: Ricky-III ![]() Posts: 732 |
Actually, I think the video ISN'T fake. The guy just hacked his PSP and opened the UMD on the PC and opened those videos. Try running a video in an another language. The picture and the audio are the same, but it's not the British old dude anymore, it's a Spanish/German/Italian etc. dude! So probably, to save space, they put the video without the voice and the, um, .mp3 files with the voices separate. Global lightning... *drools* | 2010-09-27 11:09:00 Author: Aj0j ![]() Posts: 15 |

About "fake" videos... Does the LBP 2 beta key appear in PSP PS Store? 'Cause I've seen some strange video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWho0voW0DQ&feature=related As you can recognize, the middle icon says: "LBP 2 Beta Trial". If you'll see this user's channel, he has some vids from LBP 2 Beta. PS. I know there should be another thread for this, but I don't think it costs such a price. | 2010-09-29 16:32:00 Author: izhuk ![]() Posts: 174 |

Sorry if this is way off topic, but does anyone think that they should have an update with dynamic reflections on glass materials? Anyone know what I mean? RP3's post reminded me of this. | 2010-11-09 15:22:00 Author: Snicklin ![]() Posts: 83 |
dynamic gas....? reflections? sorry mate pm or somthin. how do you upload umds to your pc? | 2010-11-11 08:07:00 Author: jimydog000 ![]() Posts: 813 |
Just reflections on glass, like if sackboy walked in front of a glass material, the material would display a reflection of him. You following? | 2010-11-11 14:10:00 Author: Snicklin ![]() Posts: 83 |
That would be an interesting effect. I wonder how much space that would take up in PSP's system? | 2010-11-13 20:23:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |
It would be just like the gas tool, whereas the effect would be turned off when the material exits the screen. I think I should make a thread off of this. I feel like I'm hijacking this one. | 2010-11-16 15:23:00 Author: Snicklin ![]() Posts: 83 |
