I very much enjoyed playing your level. The visuals were strong and the gameplay was fun! You have a distinctive art style and I really liked all the idiosyncratic pieces of art scattered through the level. I particularly liked your little stickman drawings giving hints. Nice warm lighting as well. There were some cool gameplay ideas on show and I definitely recognised some from LBP2, nicely implemented. You obviously have a wicked sense of humour though as there were a few traps in there too, lol! Anyway I enjoyed playing ? there was just something fresh about It. Okaay, here's my review. First of all, I had already played your first level and I didn't recognize you, your style in Insanity I really liked how the level was clean and looked so perfect. At first glance, I thought the gameplay was going to be the highlight of the level, I was wrong. Both the visuals AND the gameplay were great, fun, never boring. I was excited and distracted from the first checkpoint to the scoreboard... I saw this level on cool pages today and played it, good stuff. The LBP2 inspiration is apparent but not a bad thing, there are a few clever gameplay mechanics in here and I like how the visuals mesh really well with the gameplay. Amazing work! Seriously, it's been a looong while since I've played something so great! Lots of innovative gameplay/visuals, I love the characters and sticker-work, and the end scoreboard gameplay was genius! I wish there were more creators like you, I gave the level :star::star::star::star::star:, <3ed the level, and gave you an author <3. - At the start, that upper ledge to the right is way too hard to see. - Bad layer switching when you go to the left. (sackboy auto switches to front layer instead of back + door is small and annoying to get into) - Lame invisible walls on first jump pad. - The red arrow says to go left, when you need to go right. - Only way to get prize bubble is to die. (as far as I know) - Last bit of cardboard that covers picture of guy gets stuck. - The worst thing in the level was the camera during the bounce over the electric thing and then grab the brown sponge on a string. So those were the not so good things. But there was way more good than bad. I especially liked the colours with the blue and brown. 4 stars. Hmm, might be too harsh. Let's just say 4.5/5. Hi ho... I played this jewel an hour ago and I really have to say: you did a great job! I'm in the beta and this level looks pretty cool and the style comes close enough to remind me to the first LBP2-Beta level. For me it's a must play and a very very well deserved spotlight!!! Congrats btw :-) The only area where it was a bit bumpy (^^) are the bumpers/jump-pads to elevate to the upper level (don't know if there are 5 or 7 bumpers, but I think you know what I mean). It's a pitty that the sensor-switch and the position of the sack upon a pad will elevate you in many different ways (hights) - but I think that there is no real solution for it... I tried it many times to reach the price-bubble at the ceiling on the left side here, but the more I tried it, the more I fall down to the base while jumping not high enough from each pad, causing me to fall from an upper pad to a lower one. This certainly diserves more than a spotlight! I loved this level! You had lots of great unique platforming, tricky concepts I had never seen before, and the scenery was terrific! Great use of all the layers. I hearted this one as soon as I finished playing it. One recommendation however, the bouncing pads were sometimes frustrating because they wouldn't bounce me far enough. Likes: Gameplay Visuals Idea The creative flow in the level Improvements: Just a suggestion, but maybe you could add some kind of puzzle in it? Like a button press puzzle or something, so that it will get the community thinking? This is by far, one of my favourite levels, I also love your other level Mangura Temple.
