Profile backing up habits (or just plain paranoia :s) or perhaps just a good old rant

Archive: 7 posts

Does anyone have any strange/ weird profile backing up habits? I for one back up as soon as I've made any significant changes to my file.. ( for me even capturing a new object counts as significant, I'm really quite pedantic ) because if I don't, terrible, terrible things can happen. Like loosing your whole profile and having to start completley from scratch to loosing that awsome object you just made, which you'll never make the same again...

And what triggers it is those horrible, tinny 3 bleep sounds you can get when quitting lbp. I call them the 3 bleeps of dispair. And then when you return to lbp the next time you get this soul- eatingly depressing error message:- "recent changes to your profile could not be saved due to an unknown error." any one had that?

Then, you have no choice but to reinstall lbp, which takes like 4 hours to do. Then hopefully you have a recent uncorrupted profile backup on hand...

Not a bad thing, not bad at all, its actually really good, people tend to forget to back up constantly and then an error happens and they loose a lot because thewy didn't back up recently.

Its a very good havit and a reccomended one m8, so I wouldn't wworry about it.

I don't think there should be anything stopping you from copying it, exept that your memory stick is incompatible with ps3.2010-09-25 07:10:00
