Introduction

This is a series of levels which I am taking the time to create so as to better educate creators on effective ways to create in LittleBigPlanet for PSP. My tutorials are based upon my own experiences with the video game and are in no way the official way to undertake tasks. There are plenty of ways, and these are my personal ways. The tutorials consist of informative sections, examples, tips and exercises for you, the creator to do. I decided on creating this after seeing some awespme levels and thinking, "Hey instead of waiting for creators to figure out the tips and tricks of the trade, why not put all my ideas inside a level and speed up the process". Of course it isn't just the new creators that can benefit from this, highly experienced creators may find a tip or two that they never knew about.

That's great randomperson3459
You used all three interactive layers very effectively and created a very nice gameplay concentrated section. You've definately shown how important layers are to gameplay in LittleBigPlanet and I am pleased to inform you that you have successfully completed Lesson One.

Thank you for your participation.

Hey izhuk! You've utilised the three interactive layers well and the game play really does shine through, though I have some tips for you.
Try and avoid too much spikiness when you corner edit, because it made it awkward in parts. Also I think instead of a dissolve block, a door would be nice. Dissolve blocks really can make your levels look a bit clich?. Other than that you have a good feeling for layering but it would benefit you to create more player friendly sections.

You passed the lesson though

I have no dlc (excludes costumes)
But I could copy it.
I will go play some unnamed levels check for major flaws and then tell you (ali) what them most common problem was.
This should hopefully be a topical thing for the next lesson

I apologise for the DLC issue and I hope it isn't too much trouble to download the free background >.< I unfortunately cannot make it DLC free as once tainted, always tainted.

randomperson3459: It's great to see you have corner editing abilities, though now what I suggest on doing is working on using the corner editor to shape thin layers to inline the thick layers as I can see that having a strong impact on your visuals. Right now it's a bit too busy and kind of offputting. Also you may want to add more

spikes. i fell between two walls and couldn't get back up. BTW the next lesson will be on additional details such as the trees u have at the back. I see true potential in you man, and I'm going to pass you on this level because it does show very good elements, though youre free to go back and edit it a bit.

Congrats!

Izhuk: Lesson one> That's better The gameplay is smoother now.

Lesson Two> Looking great buddy! Though it could really do with some closeup camera zones instead of a far out one. I had trouble seeing what was happening. other than that your corner editing looks great and I can't wait to see how you do in the upcoming lesson.
Congrats on the completion of level two.

Nosemonkey: Lesson One> Great use of layers and you've really implemented a nice gameplay element. I'm going to be honest here, I don't particularly like the grabby thing, but that's fine.

You passed!

Lesson Two> Corner editing is good, though maybe the platforms could do with some more corner editing to give them a more natural look. Other than that the corner editing was great! [the water comes too fast!]

Another pass for u, sir!
