Due to lbp2's release date delay..

Archive: 12 posts

I will probably be making more levels on lbp1 (if I have time). I was originally going to just wait until LBP2 came out. Anyone else who was going to wait for lbp2, is now going to just create some more levels on lbp1 in the mean time?2010-09-23 13:50:00

Yeah. :/
3 months..hmm.
I was going to delay my Future Monkey City for LBP2 because of sackbots, but now I might have to settle and make it in LBP1..
But create is so much smoother in LBP2.. (It's way less annoying)

Arh!
I don't know what I'm gonna do.. ;_;

I'm making my series in BETA and then backing up in BETA and importing them on LBP22010-09-23 18:42:00

Littledragon, mucho grande chance your beta levels wont be available in lbp2 full version.

My suggestion for the people without lbp2 beta would be..
start working on your level in lbp1, wait with lighting/logic untill lbp2..
in other words.. start to make props for your future lbp2 level.
in lbp1, I got about 60% of my sack, the legendary level 1 - remake ready.
That way you can keep your mind busy if needed

Perhaps the delay is a good thing. I canned a lot of levels cause I thought I wouldn't have time for them. Maybe I should revive them...2010-09-23 19:01:00

yh ok, I'll do that I already know how to do a bit of LBP2 logic.
I'll make enemies in LBP1 and improve them in LBP2 along with the props etc.

Yeah, I think Luos' idea is the way to go.

Even though corner editing is faster in LBP2, I'll probably start making my animation in LBP1, so I only need to add the sequencer/cameras later.
Still not sure if I'm gonna release any full levels in LBP1.

With the delay I'm not sure if I'm gonna make a new level, it usually takes a long time for my brain to generate good ideas for my levels (inspiration helps). Maybe I'll just update my already published levels any way I can, a lot easier than having to create a full level, but still a way to spend my Creating time in LBP.2010-09-24 09:08:00

Same here. I was working on a sequel to my Starfighter (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=21545-Flying-spaceship-with-near-perfect-control-Starfighter) level but I'd pretty much decided to drop it since lbp2 was gonna' be out soon and it would allow for a much better spaceship level... but maybe I'll pick it up and start messing with it again. The player's ship and the enemies are all built and the logic and everything has been worked out: I just have to actually build a level for it now 2010-09-24 09:20:00
