Okay, so first off, I didn't make this video It's a French mate who's got the BETA too who made him, and it seems he found out a strange secret in the BETA... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8YUNosJlrg Up - Up - Down - Down - Left - Right - Left - Right - X - O. This is a cheat code that works in a lot of Konami games. It works too in LittleBigPlanet 2 (or at least, in the BETA). Nice find, hehe ? I don't know how he found this but this is rad | 2010-09-22 12:34:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Neat. Amazing that your friend would think to do that, and for it to make something happen! | 2010-09-22 12:40:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |
Wow, I wonder what the code is for? Maybe it's for a secret you find later on in LBP 2 | 2010-09-22 12:40:00 Author: gili450 Posts: 70 |
If 3 is for E, 7 for T, 5 for S, 6 for A and 8 for B, then it may mean Etee Sabe, or simply E.T sabe. In Spanish, this means E.T knows. Yes, that's right. E.T holds the key to the mystery. We gotta find him. | 2010-09-22 13:04:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |

Just curious, what is the logic required to add a cheat code in a DCS? You could have it on a timer for each press no doubt too. | 2010-09-22 14:53:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |

I made a thread about it yesterday in the beta section. Morgana discovered the codes could spell FREE LOVE. | 2010-09-22 16:09:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Wow, awesome find, I wonder what it could mean, but yeah, that's really awesome and I would love to see cheat codes like that implemented. | 2010-09-22 16:19:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
I made a thread about it yesterday in the beta section. Morgana discovered the codes could spell FREE LOVE. Oops, I didn't see it (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=36341-3733-5683)! Well at least here everybody can know about it. Free Love would really fit the game, indeed | 2010-09-22 16:24:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
If you want to watch me doing instead of whoever made that video here is mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_qnYl-ZXKg | 2010-09-22 16:32:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Just curious, what is the logic required to add a cheat code in a DCS? You could have it on a timer for each press no doubt too. You could have it in a controlinator attached to lockbox logic, no problem at al. I just think it was genious of them to put it on the 'broken' one. | 2010-09-22 16:34:00 Author: Super_Dork_42 Posts: 1874 |
howd your friend get that mask? | 2010-09-22 20:53:00 Author: lbpdan99 Posts: 18 |
Well, if that was meant to be in some sor of post-release contest, its not going to anymore... :S Also, one of the Youtube comments did make me curious, did anyone try doing the same amount of inputs than the konami glitch but with other movements? Example: Instead of: "Up - Up - Down - Down - Left - Right - Left - Right - X - O." Try something like: "Left - Right - Up - Right - Down - Up - right - down - O - X." Aye? | 2010-09-22 21:03:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Interesting, I must say. Maybe there's more, and if you put them in order from the first to the last level, it comes up with a secret phrase or something. | 2010-09-22 21:10:00 Author: Phosphorus15 Posts: 463 |
this thread is relevant to my interests... I translated the numbers to the corresponding letters in the alphabet but that didn't work. All I got was: CGCC EFHC | 2010-09-22 21:22:00 Author: Unknown User |
so pressing a bunch of random buttons at least 10 times doesn't make it explode also? | 2010-09-22 22:41:00 Author: Nattura Posts: 86 |
Makes me wonder, has anyone tried entering the "skip tutorials" cheat? | 2010-09-22 23:02:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Makes me wonder, has anyone tried entering the "skip tutorials" cheat? Heh, has anyone punched the konami code into the LBP1 credits? | 2010-09-22 23:08:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
That's really neat. Those little tricksters! Hidin' the free love... | 2010-09-22 23:08:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Makes me wonder, has anyone tried entering the "skip tutorials" cheat? There's actually a big "skip tutorials" button now. | 2010-09-22 23:10:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
There's actually a big "skip tutorials" button now. Warlords point is, what if it does something else if you enter it in. | 2010-09-22 23:11:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |

Yeah, I tried a bunch, none worked. If you press O, you dismount, so that has to be last if your gonna use it. | 2010-09-23 00:30:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Hmm very interesting.... What's Konami's famous code doing in here? (That sackbots yell was so cute when it ran away a flame) | 2010-09-23 02:34:00 Author: Maxi Posts: 1176 |
Yeah, I tried a bunch, none worked. If you press O, you dismount, so that has to be last if your gonna use it. What about trying the same but still just make O the last one? Like changfe X for p or something. | 2010-09-23 03:07:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
EUREKA! if you were to take these numbers and make each represent a letter in the alphabet it wold say CGCC EFHC wich could be a jumbled up phrase or word!? OR possibly a date!? anyways i hope this helps! | 2010-09-23 03:23:00 Author: PlayStatiowned Posts: 83 |

Is it just me or does that make no sense at all?? Well, when someone figures out what it means for sure could someone tell me? It might mean something if Eve's last name starts in T... | 2010-09-23 03:44:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
A bonus little thing about this: A new decoration emits when the machine explodes! It's like that flaming blue/red big rig part thingee. I don't know what the proper name is But it's completely silver and a little longer. | 2010-09-23 10:36:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |

Its a test xD If your an awesome glitcher you would have found that (He is wearing bug blaster so im assuming that) | 2010-09-24 16:19:00 Author: brendal100 Posts: 70 |
I tried writing it down and trying to come up with any word possible. All I could make using all letters were: 'ESTABEEE' or 'STABEEEE' or 'BEATEEES' (Beatles? lol) I also tried using the 'ceaser code' where you move 4 letters back from the original letter and I came up with: A P A A O W X A. I couldn't make anything out of that xD So I tried writing it backwards and came up with: ' E B A S E E L E' I'm pretty sure no one at MM knows Arabic but when you pronounce the first part 'E- BAS' that's Arabic for ' okay, enough.' and 'EELE' can mean 'to' in Arabic... I might be going nowhere with all this xD | 2010-09-25 02:54:00 Author: King_Sahle Posts: 42 |
That's 6 possible things so far. Presonally, I think that it has something to do with a hidden trophy, and an Easter egg. | 2010-09-25 03:15:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
lol anyone know where E.T. lives at? I'm not sure but we should try home... he seems to call there alot | 2010-09-25 03:17:00 Author: YEAH_NAH Posts: 775 |

It all adds up to 38... 4 short of the meaning of life xD ...wait, so LBP2 isn't the Meaning of Life? check your calculus I hope trophies won't depend in bashing buttons in most random times... OMG H4X0R costume might ensue. | 2010-09-25 07:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
...wait, so LBP2 isn't the Meaning of Life? check your calculus Ahh.. how could I have made such an elemetary mistake >< No wonder I only got a %76 on my last maths quiz ): | 2010-09-25 08:25:00 Author: King_Sahle Posts: 42 |

What about trying the same but still just make O the last one? Like changfe X for p or something. Strongly doubt it. Game devs throw the konami code in as an inside joke, in alot of games. Many games acttualy, A few rachet and clanks, plants vs zombies, ty the tazmanian tiger (2) the halflife episodes on the orange box, rainbow six 3, Tonyhawk proskater 2, Rez evil 2, Mysims, CrashBandacoot 3, and many MANY others. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Konami_code_games#Outside_Konami | 2010-09-25 17:03:00 Author: mattbru77 Posts: 143 |

It all adds up to 38... 4 short of the meaning of life xD It's reversed Ceaser's Code (as King-Sahle brought up) for 42 >.> NOW WHAT CAN THIS MEAN?! | 2010-09-26 00:01:00 Author: Heckboy88 Posts: 179 |
a few weeks of head scratchin' concepts later, MM comes out and says " ..It means nothing at all. " Can't wait to find out what it means though! | 2010-10-02 05:46:00 Author: Cheddars Posts: 447 |
Neat. Amazing that your friend would think to do that, and for it to make something happen! Actually, I'm the one who found that the arcade can explode, I got this effect playing the level and trying to kill the sackbot by electrifying him. I was like "OMG !" when it happened. lol So I created a new topic on our French LBP Community Forum (here : http://www.littlebigplanet-france.net/vos-questions-aux-beta-testeurs-f163/la-borne-arcade-explose-dans-le-niveau-histoire-t6377.htm ) and Mish80 tried to make it happen again (I didn't know how it occured, I just got it by chance, pressing crazily any buttons of my controller) and, for fun, he tried the konami code and got the result too (I can't believe I did the right code randomly...). He was just amazed to find this. lol Then he have uploaded this video on his youtube channel and you can read in the comments that someone found the code means "FREE LOVE" on a telephone keyboard. I don't know why, but since I was the first one to find this oddity, I uploaded a screenshot of it, but it doesn't appears anymore on my lbp.me profile or in the level screenshots. It seems MM has blocked it since it was secret and you now can see an unavailable screenshot on my profile... But now that so many users have uploaded screenshots of it, I wonder why my screenshot is still blocked... | 2010-10-02 23:42:00 Author: Torkass Posts: 22 |
Anyone else think it might be the amount of materials they are giving us in LBP2? /joke It looks like its in the 3 mil numbers could it possibly be the levels published in LBP1 when the beta started? | 2010-10-03 03:21:00 Author: fodawim Posts: 363 |
Has anyone seen the Atari-2600-style poster at the very start of the video? GAME ROOM QUICK LOOKS! YEAH! | 2010-10-03 22:39:00 Author: VincentVendetta Posts: 111 |
This is a bit of a bump, but look what I have! A behind-the-scenes look at logic involved for this 'cheat code''; http://beta.lbp.me/img/ft/97958a0afc03a2401adf7da7771076338543cd4c.png I used the God glitch to steal the arcade machine and look at the logic. And I was gonna post this in the beta forums, but I thought why hide it from you lot? Edit: Key: Direction Splitter (http://beta.lbp.me/img/ft/068b9dcc98c9afeaa9f449f6308e956887a0d30c.png) OR Gate (http://beta.lbp.me/img/ft/9b050f8bf818d8975d636277e6852573bd0b5eab.png) NOT gate (http://beta.lbp.me/img/ft/22c05954a41b4d120bfdeee125eb9d904c48dc74.png) AND Gate (http://beta.lbp.me/img/ft/c85e882473d4b54ed23cf4bbb0b553daa2c9f04b.png) To be honest, I'm surprised they put in so much effort for something they probably thought barely anyone would find. | 2010-10-08 22:20:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
