What Should I Do...?

Archive: 15 posts

(I am in the UK)

I am planning to pre-order from amazon, because I rely on them, but Amazon isn't a major video game site. I would like to get it as soon as it's properly released, but I have a feeling Amazon might get it to me a few days late...

Should I choose first day delivery, pre-order from another site.......?

Much thanks in advance,

Will.

I use play.com(UK)
They're extremely reliable and have not let me down with this year's mega amount of games, so I say Play.com!
(That's it Reaper, keep advertising play.. Soon you'll get the ?5 gift voucher and you can buy that toy that you saw in the one pound store)
Ech hem.

Personally, I'm normally a game.co.uk kind of guy, I've got a load of points on my loyalty card with them over the years, but since you get a Nariko code for pre-ordering from play, and nothing for pre-ordering from game, I'd go with play this time.2008-10-26 20:43:00

I bought from play once, a DS a year ago. It never reached us, and the postal service kept making 'excuses' as in "The drivers van broke down" or "The drivers on holiday so he cant deliver". In the end they admitted fault and play re dispatched the ds which reached me around 2 months after it should. Im not pinning the blame on Play.com, but i'm just saying, don't preorder online unless you are certain that all the retailers in your local area will sell out first day.

Movietyme. I ordered mine a couple of weeks back, they said it should take 5-9 working days to arrive and it took 4. It was 32.99 total with express postage. Highly recommend them to you.2008-10-26 22:37:00

Online might be region locked. As in, if you buy it in America, you can only play with American people (learned that when I bought EA Skate.) Most games aren't online locked. I'm sure there's a list somewhere, 'cause I saw it in the past. Can't remember where tho.

I'll clear this up:

LittleBigPlanet is free of all region restrictions. Online play is not region locked, and a LittleBigPlanet copy bought in the US will work just fine on a UK console, and vice versa.

On my post, I wasn't saying LBP was Online region locked, I was saying some games were and that no game had region lock, so, any game works on any console.
