Dont you just hate it when your in level create mode and your friend runs off? well i do so why not put in a port to friend option in your pop up menu.?

Wait, so...you wanna add a "follow friend no matter what" kinda option? I mean if they wanna leave without you, there's gotta be a reason behind it no m8? You following them around against their will may just cause them to get really annoyed and remove you from friend's list most likely... :S

I am pretty sure he means when you and your friend are flying in create mode and he goes to some random place in the level. You should be able to teleport to him

Well its not THAT difficult to follow them manually, you can always see where they are pretty mch, just zoom out the most and hover in that direction, you should be there in a few sec. (Not like it takes gours to hover to any area on the level, m8.)
