50 layer glitch
Archive: 19 posts
this is for the beta people, i just want to ask one thing. Do we still have to do the trick in order to get a 50 layered glitch? | 2010-09-21 23:53:00 Author: wait wtf Posts: 853 |
If your asking this: It is not an MM tool. | 2010-09-22 00:00:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |

so we still have to do the glitch? Apparently so. | 2010-09-22 00:45:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
Yep, you still have to use the old method to use the 3D glitch. | 2010-09-22 00:47:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |
One thing I've noticed is the background layers are MUCH easier to work with thanks to advanced glue. I hated not being able to glue things in the back layers but now it's super easy. | 2010-09-22 00:49:00 Author: Nuclearfish Posts: 927 |
They still occupy the back thin layer yeah? | 2010-09-22 00:59:00 Author: Darkcloudrepeat Posts: 606 |
Didn't someone say it was still rather glitchy tho? Like imported levels with 50layer objects had some of those objects shrunk and stuff? | 2010-09-22 01:38:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

I think you mean Ungreth mentioning that level backgrounds with the 50 layer glitch would sometimes shrink. | 2010-09-22 01:42:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |
well, i'm just glad that the glitch still works. i like the method/s involved, & enjoy sending things into the foreground for the fun of it. | 2010-09-25 01:55:00 Author: sellfcon Posts: 79 |
Well, with the advanced glue, the 50-layer trick will be even even easier to work with. Think about it- in LBP2 you can edit emitted objects in real time, and they adjust to that emitter. So, if you've emitted an object into the background with the "put any object into the background trick", you can edit that object in the first three layers, push a button to re-emit the object in the background, and it will be edited, too. As far as I'm aware, this is an original suggestion. | 2010-09-25 03:54:00 Author: Stoicrow Posts: 276 |

I'm relieved it still works. I've recently begun using it in my levels, and I must say, it'd be hard to live without it, even with all the new features in LBP2. | 2010-09-27 01:47:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |

what does the advanced glue do? | 2010-09-27 06:40:00 Author: YEAH_NAH Posts: 775 |
what does the advanced glue do? You choose 2 objects, and they stick together. They probably must touch, idk. | 2010-09-27 18:50:00 Author: Unknown User |
They have to touch. The advantage it has is this: Lets pretend you have 9 blocks, 3 in each row and the center one touches all of them. You want to glue the middle one and the one in the bottom left corner without gluing anything else to them. You take the advanced glue tool and click the middle block and the bottom left one. Now they are glued, but nothing else. | 2010-09-27 18:58:00 Author: Unknown User |

Also useful if you have a thin back layer and a few objects in front of it. Say you wanted to glue the two objects together, but you didn't want them stuck to the background. | 2010-09-28 03:41:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
