What was your favorite cartoon?

Archive: 36 posts

There will come a day when you're great grandchildren will ask you: "What was your favorite cartoon when you were a kid!?"

... So why not come up with an answer right now?

My favorite cartoons were:

Phineas & Ferb
The Simpsons
Spongebob SquarePants

What about you?

Ed Edd 'n Eddy, Futurama, Dexter's Labrotory, and Invader Zim ( which I never got to see on television before it was cancelled, so i've only seen episodes online, but I love what i've gotten to watch of it )
EDIT: I forgot to include these: Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samuri Jack, King of the Hill

Much better

Well, indeed, all the Simpsons-like (sorry but it's true) like Futurama, American Dad, Family Guy, but I rather consider them to be real TV Shows.

I also used to watch Recess! when I was youner

80's: He-Man, Thundercats, Bugs Bunny/Road Runner

90's: Batman/Superman, Animaniacs, Duck Tales

00's: Justice League Unlimited

Now: Batman: the Brave and the Bold and Star Wars: The Clone Wars are pretty good, but mostly they just don't make'em like they used to.

When I was younger I loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats and Transformers. I have the first 80 episodes of Thundercats and they are still pretty good today, Snarf is still the more annoying than an amalgamation of Ja Ja Binks and Paris Hilton though.2010-09-22 23:14:00

Hmm... Here's my list.

Scooby Doo
Speed Racer
Johnny Bravo
Dexter's Laboratory
Dragon Ball Z (The Original)
Tom and Jerry
Bugs Bunny
Flintstones
Pink Panther

There are more... Just can't think of them.

Scooby Doo was probably my favorite, but Johnny Bravo always made me laugh hysterically.

Phineas and Feb.

But the best is MAD, it's a new show on Cartoon Network and when I first saw it, I choked on laughter.

Johnny Bravo
Ed, Edd, and Eddy
Angry Beavers
Kablaam! (Or however it is named)
Scooby Doo

Cartoon Network used to have the best shows 5+ years ago, now they are just pointless. It's like they're trying to make kids dumber...

I always wanted to watch Ned's Newt again. When I was young it was playing too late for me to watch it...
But I knew I loved that show. Pok?mon is a big piece of my childhood. I learned english with Pok?mon. Me and my brother really had a blast watching mega Babies, now that I watch it again I realize it's so dumb.. XD
Dexter's Laboratory was so much better than Johnny test >_>
I watched loads of shows but can't remember any of them...

I loved Pinky and the Brain, Gargoyles, Freakazoid and Batman: The Animated Series when I was younger.
I like to think that the mid 90's was one of the best eras of Western Animation when Warner Brothers and the like had prettymuch perfected their animated comedy and were really starting to get how you could use animation to tell more intelligent stories that could still appeal to a younger audience, in no small part due to the talent that cropped up during the era (bless Bruce Timm and Greg Weissman) and it was just before the proliferation of Anime (as well as wholesale lifting of anime conventions) where things sorta started to go downhill.
I'm glad shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Justice League: Unlimited, and Spectacular Spider-man came into existence to carry on the torch (though they were all too good to last), but whenever you turn on Cartoon Network or whatever network shows animation during Saturday mornings the overall quality just isn't the same as it was.
