I think it's patched but you can get it from other peoples levels still.2010-09-20 21:21:00

Thanks frogboy, that level is the best glitch level I have played. Cow glitched everything. Just what I need.

Oh and Aya had the good grace to leave the theck gas's orientation matrix so it's pointing upright

I'm using it for a part of my contraption that needs to pass through itself, and I already am running out of layers with a thack piece bolted onto a theck piece. I will make it ThecX-men friendly I promise

Making theck, thin, and thick gas is patched my friend.

If you want to kill the thecXmen, ask warlord evil for his laser.

Well, I used Aya's theck gas and it's done the trick! Can't wait to show off my level when it's finished (if I can ever get it done, it's taking ages, but it WILL be worth it I promise )

WTF is "Theck" gas?2010-09-21 00:45:00

WTF is "Theck" gas?

Theck gas is gas that resides in the theck layer, the "checkpoint thick" layer.

Theck gas has a number of useful properties; notably that it is completely invisible and inaudible, and ignores collisions. I wanted it so I could bolt a thack object onto it but so that it wouldn't collide with the other theck/thick objects I have in my level.

I absolutely loved theck gas... until it started killing some thecX-men. As far as I know, that was the earliest discovery that some people were different, though we didn't know exactly what was going on at the time. Later someone posted about going through theck layers (pretty sure it was comph) and a discussion started which lead to pretty much everything we know about them now.

As a side note, thin, thack, and theck gas are visible in lbp2 It's been reported as a bc issue to Mm so hopefully it'll get fixed before the full release.

It scared me the first time I noticed it.

I think I did that with all the samples. There's a trick to precisely reorienting them, which I'll explain if anyone really wants to know.

Not strictly true. From this post (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=30420#post527706)...

Note that the ability to stabilize (i.e. re-emit with infinite lifetime) a 'dead' material is the same technique used for creating the following glitches...

Thin/theck/thack gas
Plasmafied materials

...so those are also possible to reproduce post-Leerdammer.

...which I vaguely recall demonstrating to someone in OC fairly recently.
