OK something is really ticking me off i try to republish my level to get more plays and it wont work! and every onve in a while it does and some noobs play it and rate low because its " tough " i think MM needs to re do their systerm of cool pages cause some i mean a alot of good levels never get played! I'm just sayin!

Well if you want to get some more plays and some insight into what people think about your level, maybe you should create a thread in the level showcase. F4F is a really great way to improve you level and subsequently get lots of plays and possibly hearts if its good enough

I'm pretty sure the republish trick got patched out in 1.29.... If I'm wrong someone will correct me I'm sure but ya I think it's gone.

So you're saying the system doesn't work because the people don't like the level and you blame it on the system? O_o Don't worry m8, like the above user said, we love giving feedback here on LBPC to better your level bes as possible, so give it a try, most of us like giving constructive feedback than just bashing, so no worries! And yes Morg, the trick does seem to have been patched since then too.

the system obviouzly does not work. If you think 8 year olds H4Hing everything and playing shark survival cause that's all they see then your clueless. MM should not depend on a website being created they should make a better system. Republishing is a cheap way also I look at it as just as bad as H4H personally it's still cheap, but hearts ruined the game obviously. People just want the dumb trophy to look good when they aren't.

yeah it's always been flawed but I think a way to help is to put the new levels pages first rather than "cool levels"

I doubt the republishing doesn't work anymore. I don't see why it wouldn't. Media Molecule "fixing" this would mean they don't care for creators. Republishing is meant to be so you improve your level and people can play your improvements. This is part of the fundamentals in the LBP design so I seriously doubt your level doesn't pop on top of Cool Level Pages when you republish. Also, that "sometimes it works sometimes it don't" is not possible. You probably missed something. If your level is published since 7 days already, it will pop on the CLPs but it will not stick anymore. This could explain a little bunch of dudes playing your stuff but that your level doesn't appear in the CLPs

I think it still works. I just did some tweaking and updating to some of my levels, and I got some plays after I published them.

I am almost positive it doesn't, because now that I think it will not work I can republish quicker while doing work and not worry about random players spamming me with H4H and hitting me with the onestar system. I have republished around fifty times this week because of a censored word in a level. I did not once see a random player. The only times I have seen plays is from giving people feedback on their level if there was an issue, or thanking them for being the first to beat a level. I like it much more this way. If you have a level you want to test just delete it and publish it. You will get around 3-5 plays. The amount of feedback you will get is next to zero, but you will find out if people can beat your level 30x faster than on here...so only use that if you are worried your level can't be beaten...this does not work for a level series at all...F4F is about the only way to get a random unbiased person to see if it works.

I don't know, I republished a level a few times today--updating it--& didn't see it on the cool pages, then I republished it again about an hour later & this time I saw it on page 1, this was a new level just published today so, maybe when its still new it allows you to go to page 1 & otherwise it won't but... dunno.

Trust me on this one, if you saw it there must have been a lag. I have had levels take a good while to get played when published, and I am sure that is why, but out of the many many many many times I have republished levels fixing them up (got make them perfect) I have not once seen a random person play other than when I play another person's level or a person who hearted my level plays with a friend...and then that person plays my levels later.
