The Caption Contest - Round 43

All rise, Round 43 of the Caption Contest is in session!

The premise is simple; whoever places the best caption on the provided LBP image wins! The caption could be a thought going through the characters' heads, or something the characters are saying, or even a short story leading up to the picture! It can practically be anything you want, as long as it's clean and abides by the forum rules.

NOTE: Humor is the only way to win!

Each round a new picture will be posted and you have two weeks before the thread is locked for judging. Once the next round commences, a new picture will be posted, and the winners from the previous round shall be announced.

Rules:


Only two captions per user (you do not have to post both at the same time).



Image editing/manipulating (Photoshopping/GIMP-ing) is allowed.



Awards will be handed out at the end of the round, usually on a Saturday after the 2 week time limit. At that time, the image for the next round will be displayed.



Post the pictures on this thread, there will be no gallery section but they will be archived when the round is over.
Image needs to be around the same size as the original for legibility. Smaller ones will be accepted, but if they cannot be read and you cannot fix your entry, then it will be horribly hard to judge and probably will not win. More then welcome to get with me to give you help, plus I have a handy how to up above!

Second Place - second best caption. [100 xp]



Third Place - third best caption. [50 xp]



Consolation Prize - this award goes to the caption that didn't get an award, but was still very good(this may not be handed out every time). [20 xp]

That would be a true statement.

Sometimes we have to look hard and long at them. Just because an entry might be funny, the challenge is to provide a caption or captions etc, that makes that pic really funny. So like in your case, that was really funny, but didn't really have anything to do with the situation at hand. You just have to be careful even if you alter a pic.

For example, if you cover up key elements, like the sacks provided.. well... you have changed the pic. Quite a bit of what we look at is how well the caption and extra goodies lend itself not only to the situation at hand, but the expressions on the sacks themselves. So sometimes covering up a sack or completely eliminating them can be in essence altering the premise of the original photo.		2010-09-19 20:27:00
