What the heck is this!?

Archive: 29 posts

Hey guys! Just a quick question...

What's the fastest internet browser on the web? My connection is great, but sometimes, my browser (Safari) takes too long to load a page. Is there any thing I could do to improve the speed of my internet?

Thank you!

Probably Google Chrome. I don't like it very much, though.2010-09-19 00:40:00

Actually if you look up stuff on the IE9 beta the general consensus is that it's very good and finally on par with the other browsers (judging from the beta anyway, it's not out properly for months). Still, I wouldn't suggest using a Beta as a main browser atm.

I like chrome because the bars at the top don't take up half the page, also it has a great smooth feeling to it when switching tabs around etc... Sometimes videos crash less on Firefox for me though :s2010-09-19 17:59:00

Ehhh could you please change the title to something else... "What the heck is this?!" isn't exactly the best title to use to ask for the fastest internet browser... It's very misleading. Thank you 2010-09-19 20:22:00

If all you are looking for is speed use the IE beta, but IE in general is the least secure and easiest to crack browser, so it is only a matter of time before the new one goes down. I use both Firefox and Chrome. They are good for different stuff. Both are fast, and both are SECURE. Some days video works better on Chrome, but most of the time they both work perfectly. If you have a lot of passwords to remember but you don't think you can remember all of them all of the time, I would use Firefox, since it actually remembers password along with the username, while Chrome only remembers the username.2010-09-20 21:15:00

Most of the bars represent speed, so the shorter the better! Except the last one on HTML5

I use safari because it runs less background stuff than firefox or google chrome. Although, when I get my mac fixed (It's having problems loading things - getting slow which is rare on a mac) I might use google chrome again.

Firefox.

It's fast, and it has AdBlocker Plus, which is handy on those irritating websites with tons of ads. I don't like the feel of Chrome, I have to say.
