| Circus L'amourptwob http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/ptoobe/APhoto_9-2.jpg the last real lbp level i wil be publishing before lbp2. | I played this the other day and loved it. It's an amazing level. You really have created a great circus atmosphere. The great top itself is really well done - you genuinely feel you are in a circus tent- but the outstanding aspect of the visuals is your character work which is superb. I loved all the different circus performers - they give a lot of character and life to the level. The gameplay is brilliant and I loved the way you integrated it so well into the different circus acts. You're not kidding about it being challenging, though! I lost a ton of points at various sections including the trombones and the parade of clowns. There are some really original and inventive bits of gameplay, though. I loved the knife throwing section and the whole parade and musicians part even if it did wipe the floor with me. Anyone who enjoys platforming will have a blast playing. I have actually got a very decent score on the scoreboard but I have a confession to make :blush: which explains that. I managed accidentally to skip a whole chunk of the level first time I played. When I was shot out of the first cannon I ended up landing in some gas. I thought I must have overshot so second time round I held up my flight. I landed much more to the right on part of the tent. It seemed a bit empty but I made my way down until I came out by the trombones and finished the level. I then looked at the ingame photos and I realised I had missed some bits. I replayed and it turned out I had missed A LOT! So you might want to block that off somehow. In the meantime I get to look like I have awesome skillz, lol! What will I do with the game that took over my life? I can't trade my child in because I'm pregnant for another! ...... Akward. I see that you've fixed the bug and republished which has wiped my flattering score, lol. So I've replayed and now at least, however poor it is, my score is accurate. It's still a great level! The only slightly frustrating thing is that there are a couple of places where you die less from lack of skill and more as the result of the somewhat imperfect LBP1 jump pads. For example, after struggling up the second fiery trombone ladder you jump into the mouth of a trombone which is meant to shoot you across a gap into the mouth of another instrument. Twice after finally making it up to the top I got shot at too low an angle and ended up in the gas instead. That gets frustrating because you have so little control over how you get shot out. Anyway, it's only a small niggle and I can't really complain because the number of times I died through my own clumsiness far outweighed the number of cheap jump pad deaths! Oh and on replaying I noticed all the musicians with your face! I lol'd! It's a very cool level! | 2010-09-19 02:58:00 Author: shropshirelass Posts: 1455 |

| Great! Very worthy spotlight here. Some parts were hard due to some awkward design (for example last fire star depended more on luck than skill, some checkpoint placement, etc), but the originality (and definitely the ending (had a laugh there)) won me over. I think the best thing about this level is the natural/fluid movement of the characters. That mime was perfect! Minor problem: Some of the trumpets got tangled then broke.
