heya all!
look, first i want you to know that i know how to spell block (i think it is B-L-O-C-K ), i just think "blueblox" sounds sophisticated and is a cool name.

and now the level...
so, this level is a lot different from all the others i've ever done, well, it has some similarities with green side of life (v 1.1) but that doesnt count, becouse that level is too small to count as a real level, and the differences are:
-this level has a really small story
-it has a small story becouse i wanted it to be an all-platformer
-it is done in only 2 colours (dark blue and light blue )

and this level has some lag becouse it has over 1000 blue blocks and such a big number cant be lag-free, sorry

THE STORY
sackboy starts in a strange place where everything is blue, and wants to return to LBP to continue creating his levels, so... go there and help him

oh, and i must warn you, i had several issues with the last button in the level, for some reason it only works if you click it like 6 or 7 times, i dont know why, but nothing fixed it, but well, these stuff happen

1 last thing----> i want to thank bluebulletbill (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/member.php?8280-BlueBulletBill) becouse he is the king of blue levels and he letted me use the idea of an all-blue level!

oh, and i'll try to feedback anyone who feedbacks me, but i want good feedback please

oh, and just for fun i did a small "level that plays itself" with a race and the same building type as blueblox, it is called bluebox - the race, if you want, try it out

well, i think thats it, please rate :star::star::star::star::star: and <3 if you loved it

Oh wow - thanks so much! Though, let me tell you, don't ever feel like you have you have to ask to borrow ideas. After all, if you did, I'd be locked up for ripping off Jonze's style so many times.

Part I: Playthrough
Right off the bat, wow. Some people are going to tell you that the unedited block shapes look ugly, but for my part, I think they look great! I like the combination of the clashing sounds and music. Oh! And now that I see what's making that sound, I'm even more impressed! Cool gameplay here! (By the way, I changed into my King Blue costume here - I'm blending in! :-D) Here I had a problem, where I fell off the second elevator and it got stuck. I had to restart the level. Maybe you could put a grab switch to get it back?

I looove this crushing machine! It has some really fun gameplay, and the SFx add a lot. I also like your three-step sticker switch puzzle. Only complaint is the sticker is hard to see - maybe blue splat would have been a better choice? Also, it's a bit tough to reach the sliding grab material, but that may just be my own ineptitude. Once up there, the falling platforms take you by surprise, it might have been better to add an area to watch and see what would happen. These are just tiny design flaws, it's still great.

The domino platforms, on the other hand, are a bigger problem. They are extremely tough to get up, and its a fairly long section. If it had been a smaller area, it might not have been such a big deal. After that, the slide section is a lot of fun. I found the secret elevator. ;-) A while later, I had trouble with a vehicle - it went so fast, that when I hit the wall, it would register as a crash. I got through it eventually, and now I can't wait for the sequel!

Part II: Summary
Not much I didn't say in the playthrough, so I'll just say this: I'm voluntarily giving up my title as King of Blue Levels. We can instead rule over Bluetopia together.

Part III: Review
Looks: 5/5
Platforming: 5/5
Story: N/A
Originality: 4/5
Replay Value: 5/5

The Good: Great blue design!
The Bad: A few gameplay flaws.
The Ugly: How awesome this level is compared to Blue Blitz. You rule!

Five stars and a blue metallic heart!

Interesting level you got here! When I saw that it only had :star::star: I was little curious to see if it was any good. But it is! The music and SFX are great! I can see you put a LOT of work into creating hundreds of different coloured blues which look awesome. However there was a lot of lag which kinda was a letdown. But anyways I gave you a very blue :star::star::star::star::star:2010-09-18 17:06:00

@ bluebulletbill:
thanks a lot for all the good coments you've told me, and sorry about the flaws, you know, i experienced all the bad stuff you said that happened to you, and:
1-the second elevator gets stuck really often, and thats why i've made it grabbable (and i've created a magic mouth to warn people about it.
2-actually, altough true, i dont think the sticker issue is not that a thing, becouse as long as you see the ble dot of popit, you know were's your sticker at, but thanks anyway for warning me about it...
3-yeah, i know the car was way too fast, but there was a loop at the very end of the race, and the car couldnt perform it unless it had some strength, but sorry if you had problems with it...

oh and dont worry about VJ locking you up somewhere far away, if he does that, i'll lock him up too
thanks for the stars and the blue heart
oh, and thanks for letting me be one of the kings in bluetopia, i wont fail

@valmassoi
i still havent checked the level, its rate and its hearts but it is a little bit sad ( yet understandable, probably becouse of the lag in the level) to see that some didnt liked the job, and as i said, yeah the lag is really annoying, but thanks for the 5 stars

BTW, anyone wants me to check any level from them (if yes, wich one)?
i say this becouse since this is F4F i feel in the duty to ask this...

Good level.

Nah I was just kidding.

Ok,first thoughts where:
1. Awesome BLOCKS!!! it must have taken ages putting those things together!
2.Awesome...LLLLAAAGGG!!!!!! I didn't really mind the lag though.

Your soundfx were used nicely and music of choice was perfect...I dig in the sound..what?
The level is fun to play from beginning to end (especially the crushers...those things really flat you up).Nice hidden bubbles here and there and there and here.

Anyways, gameplay was original and stuff, but I didn't finish it cause I crashed with the vehicle and got mad cause I lost the score. That didn't stop me from giving it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 great job man I'll look foward to your future levels.

Hello nosemomkey!!

I am finally getting to your feedback.

I loved it!! This level has such a good look about it. I love how you used so many pieces to make your design. I remember jackofcourse doing that in one of his psp levels and I think that gives everything a very unique look. Great obstacles you made. The first thing is the moving maze, that looked killer!! Fun too!! It was an interesting way to get to the top and to the checkpoint. I dug the hidden areas and being rewarded with extra bubbles is always nice. I always try to grab the high score on my favorite levels, so I was looking like crazy here. You are very good at making contraptions. There were many interesting gameplay mechanics you used throughout, I loved the platforming over the many well place skinny pieces. Down to the button switch and then back up. Hahaha, you even but a check point down there, that way no one can skip the up hill jaunt by hitting retry!! Nice!! Overall this level was great. You have found a good creating style now, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!!

hi there VJ!

thanks for your feedback, it really makes me happy to know that one of the greatest creators ever liked it (and hearted it ) now the real stuff:

1-i dont really know if jackofcourse did one level like this, but i swear that i didnt copied it, i've never played a level like that, i swear
2-yeah, one of the things i like most in levels is to catch bubbles (and get to the highscore) so that is the reason i did all the secret ways...
3- the reason i've letted the checkpoint in there is that the sackboy could retry, or die climbing up, and in any of those, people would get up without no effort, and i want this level to be hard too
4-i dont really know if i have found a new creating style, personally i prefer to make story levels, and, well, i coudlnt do a level like this again, becouse it would look exactly like this one, but i can make part 2, if im in the mood

thanks again for your feedback, cya!!!

Hello there! I was a little hesitant to try out your level based on the name, but after seeing this was spotlighted (congratz by the way), I realized I shouldn't judge a book by its cover and decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did.

When I read somewhere (I think it your OP) that there were 1000 blue blocks so its bound to lag a bit I was concerned to try it, because in my imagination I pictured a section where you had to run through an avalanche of 1000 dynamic blocks. Yet again I was wrong and was happy to try it.

I really liked the background and style; I thought I'd get bored with only two shades of blue, but it managed to do the job. Being only blue actually made some of the score bubble sections a bit harder to find and that was cool; I definitely missed a bunch.

Game play wise, this level felt similar to those of Velcrojonze (I think, but it might be someone else), which is not a bad thing at all. There was a nice degree of difficulty without too much frustration. The only part I really didn't like was the part where the ceiling smashed into the floor and you have to grab that diagonal moving spongish thingy; unless I was doing it wrong it took quite a bit of fiddling around before I was able to get it.

My major gripe with the level was the lag. Although its not your fault that the game lags when you put all those blocks in, it adds a degree of frustration to all obstacles, because often it takes quite a bit longer to get back and retry after you die, and just in general it can be a detriment to the pacing of a level. There wasn't so much lag that it was unplayable, but it could get annoying in spots.

Anyways, congrats on the well-earned spotlight, and if you wouldn't mind, can you F4F my level Down Underground?
