Some pros:
The springboards under the spinning platforms were a neat obstacle.

The sponge-on-a-string that get whacked by the sideways springboard was fun. (but it was nigh-impossible to reset.)

Finding the bones was a nice secret for explorers.

Your rock formations are realisically-shaped.

Some cons:

The bone-finding was only explained in the description. There should be an in-level exposition.
Are they all there? I looked alot and couldn't find #4 or #5.
What do I earn for finding them?
There should be a display somewhere near the end showing how many you found.

The paintinator elevator has no reset.
If you fall or you're not on it you've got to restart.
If the switch were just set to on/off it would go up and down for an easy fix.

Some switches (like for the elevator) were just out in the open.
You can make them invisible.

The narrow tunnel seemed out of place.
And all you had to do was run.
It could be tweaked or replaced altogether.

A neat level. A few tweaks would go a long way.

Please F4F my level: Seach for "Castle @jayzhee" to find it.
Thanks a bunch!

Okay, played the level and here's what I thought

First, let's get the bad things out of the way. When swinging in the beginning of the transition to the swamp-like place, the leaf decorations in a circle don't look too good, maybe take them off and just have it as a grass material. also, when the piece in the forest-like place disolves and you fall, maybe make it a little more action packed, add some sound effects. I think this level is also missing some scenery. I liked the part where you shoot down the rock for the platform to go up, that was cool. When in the building at the beginning and you go above platforms that move around with grabbable and burnt side and you gotta go left, maybe make a little wall so people don't falla ands have to do it again. the reason I say make it little is because I know there's a secret bone to the left. When going to the rocks before having to jump and avoid fire, you can get trapped behind a rock, long story but you gotta kill yourself, might wanna have some way to escape or fill it up. If you don't know what I mean, I can add you and show you. When going into the cave, maybe have the end in the cave, it felt akward going in and out so quickly. The design of the building at the beginning was nice, might wanna add a litle there and a lot outside. Also, work on the scenery some and please take that heart away from end, begging for hearts doesn't do any good :star::star::star: Oh and one more thing, if you're going to have secrets like the bones, might aswell at least have points next to the bones or have a secret counter at the end saying "how many bones did you find?" and if you find all, maybe you get extra points

I have played your level and believe that bundle had good idea in question to what you wanted to represent, the material this one adapted and the obstacles are good, my suggestions would be, to put a bit more of light in some zones, to make it a bit more visible since this would help thegameplay of the level, also would choose to make all the switches invisible, i am not very in favour of that they are seen believe that it is for aesthetics of the level, and also if you still have more thermometer you should put more decoration, or achieve that it was a bit longer, besides that there are very few bubbles and entertained of the levels i believe that it is to achieve the maximum punctuations.

I wait could play to my level WOOD WORLD https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=34593-Wood-World-(with-VIDEO)-*SPOTLIGHT* and you were giving to me your opinion.
Thank you

Thank you all very much! I agree now, that lots of those pieces, especially, ESPECIALLY, the tunnel, were really out of place. I will fix the elevator and stuff, and republish. I will check out all your levels in return!! Thanks again!2010-09-18 14:52:00

It would be nice if you could post some screenshots on here! I think I will play this later.

Edit:

Ok here I go!

I like the look of this level. Its simple, but I think it gives a good atmosphere.

When you get to the top of that first bit of platforming, I think I would have used a winch instead of a piston for the grab-able thing that pulls you up. Winches allow you to swing so its easier to get off where you want.

wow! i like the look of the outdoor scene when you first come out of the building. (tree?)

I like using decorations on the things you swing on too, but I would like it if you could see yourself while you swing. You get hidden by the leaves.

I've noticed a big lack of sound effects. For example, when you fall and break through those rocks, there's no "boom" or anything. They just kind of fall silently.

The part with the burning logs rolling at you could have a better camera angle. Perhaps one, that lets you see all 3 layers easily.

I think I would have liked the magnetic switch and key in the rock part to be invisible. I'm fine with the paintinator switch being visible because it lets you know what to do. However, I think the dissolve material could be stickered with a rock color. Also, when you shoot the rock down and you fall off the platform, you are pretty much stuck... I almost fell off.

I feel you got a little sloppy at the end... As I was jumping down that last hill before the checkpoint, I saw dark matter holding up that heart thing...

You definitely had some great gameplay in there, you could use more work on mechanics and making the environment look good. I'm giving this 3 stars.

Edit: Oh, I just saw this was an F4F thread. If you could, play the level I have in my sig below and tell me what you think, thanks.

Thank you ShamgarBlade for the review! It really helps me improve! I know, the ending was sloppy, I ran out of ideas and took 10 minutes just to finish it up. Today though, I will try much harder to make it better

*EDIT*

I will play your level too

Ok I just tried to play this, and once I get some stuff doen I will try again. The begining grabbable large round ball on a piston has to be fixed. It is too large and bulky to move around, and on a piston that is set to stiff, I was only able to swing over once. And for some reason when I jumped up to get on the stairs I did not shift back and fell down. After that I could not get across. I tried jumping on top and jumping across, I tried swinging up to the side...no matter waht I hit the edge and never made it? But while it is still fresh in my mind here it the feedback for the start. I know everyone has told you to hide the switches...and you really nedd to, with them marked as visible it really takes away from the level...it is like I am workign in create mode. The thing to bounce you worked well, but I gut stuck under the one right below the moving platform. The Moving platforms are ok, but the middle one is awkwardly low to jump under. The grabbable is just plain awkward in that it did not allow me across after the first time. The background windows were nice and the start was. I will edit this when I play again...if I can make it past the first part...

Lol: Well got past that part, seems that the first time I jumped to it by luck, but if you run from one side to the other you can make it ignoring the grabbable. I got stuck under the bounce pad below again and I noticed some anti matter on the left side of the screen. The bounce pad upto the top was ok, but you seem to make jumps a bit far like in the next area. I made it over the tree fog, and to thearea you fall down into. All of the switches really hurt this area, emitters and everything. The log roll was a good challenge, but it is a bit hard to jump over thing uphill with a camera that faces up too. Plus the emits at the top just looked bad. The paint gun lift was nice, but like another poster said it pretty much would cause a player to get stuck. If you had the dissolve also activate the checkpoint it would have been better or just set the lift to move up and down. The next area suffered from some low camera views, and I fell behind a rock right before the fire and could not get out. Perhaps one of the bones was there, but because I had to kill myself to get out I did not think to check. The cave to the end really could have used more ceiling above to give it a better look. You could almost remove the background to make you level better. The music did not seem to mesh too well...it seemed more Japanese than a castle in the woods. Good work on making a level with some good challenges, but some of those things really took away from the level. The level also seemed a bit short...but I was just happy not to get stuck again...also noticed you put in infinate lives later on.

Thank you all! I played all the levels you requested I play, and I will send out messages with my feedback

I have updated many of the hard challenges, hidden switches, made it so you die if you fall behind the rock towards the end, TOOK OUT THE CAVE, and added LOTS of little details. I will update again soon!
