What Does Everybody Do

Archive: 48 posts

I was just wondering what everybody does in their lives. It's sometimes hard to keep track of who is in school, work or is generally a BUM lol JOKES

I work and my girlfriend stays at home to look after our 2 year old girl Amy and we have another on the way in January (which is a boy) and I plan on having 5 kids if poss. So the missus is probably not going back to work for a long time (if ever lol)

I just thought it would be good to know what everyone's situation is. Just let everyone know if you work or whatever else.
If you want you can also say what profession your in, or if your at school/colledge/Uni...ect then let us know what lessons you are studying

SO FOR ME - I work full time as a Safe Installer

I'm a Sophomore in High School. I made mainly A's, but I do make B's from time to time. Outside of school, I practice Tae Kwon Do and play piano. Other than that, my life is quite drool.2008-10-26 02:44:00

I work for a large transport company in the UK in their engineering records department. When someone needs to update part of the network, they retrieve the necessary schematics and CAD from us. It's like a library, except there are a lot stricter conditions as to how, where, when and who can have the "books" and how they are return, kept, treated and so on. It's dull to explain, so I won't go on!

I've been doing that for 2 years. Before that I've done IT, temping, sales, telephone assistance, been a chef, been a sales clerk, and done a paper round.

Student, Year 10. I guess I do alright, get pretty consistent A/A+ in Japanese/Multimedia and Physics. B's in English and C's pretty much everywhere else. Doing VCE 1 and 2 Maths Methods though (Basically Year 11 course of the just above average maths) and it's hard. I used to think Maths was my best subject but I've only just been passing during this course.

But really I like Music, or love really. Quite obviously I've been playing guitar, only recently-ish when my friend got one that I was aloud to start though. If I could have my dream come true, I would find a band and play. Don't really care if we got anywhere, it's just almost impossible to find people that love thrash and think like me in Australia.

You keep telling yourself that. Maybe, if you believe hard enough, and with the tiniest bit of magic, that will come true!

I stay at home and look after our 2 year old, my man is currently not working to help me because I'm ill at the moment. It's nothing super serious like a terminal illness or disability or anything but I do need help! We're planning on having another child when I get better, so I don't know when I will be able to go back to work! I would like to though one day.2008-10-26 15:01:00

Story of my life much?
Im a 7th grade student (But I'm 13... Weird huh?) and I like to lay rugby and do stuff with friends. I like rugby over footy or cricket because in Footy, it's a whole lotta runnin and not much to do. In cricket you get to bat and then funs over. You just sit there and hope the ball comes your way.

Rugby however it a very much team sport. The ball gets shared because it needs to be, and I have a lot of brute strength (I find it fun when people jump on me and I lift them up and start running LOL) which is needed.

I am a bit of a computer nerd (But my friends say it's the good nerd lol. Then there are the GEEKS who have no social life) and I like PS3 over XBox 360. I am a Mac BTW. I prefer sleepovers over going out to the movies simply because you get more time with your friends.

I am a sprinter, not a long distance runner at all. I speed along for about 200M, slow down and start running and then my body hates me at 350m... I go to St.Kevins in Melbourne. I live in Toorak and right next to my school (RIGHT next to it, no joke). I am mostly optimistic with a good sense of humour. I try to be cheerful but I am random most of the time. I pay attention to unnecessary things and have a weird way of telling when it's going to rain minutes before anybody else.

Uhm, thats about it. Oh, and I like the rain. Something about it. It's so grey and depressing yes it has a beauty to it. My sense of humour is Sarcastic BTW.

I'm a student of National Diploma Music Performance at West Suffolk College in Bury St. Edmunds in the east of England. I've also got a band together (as part of the course) and we're in the early stages of developing songs. I'll have to shamefully plug our Myspace once it has some music on it.2008-10-26 16:27:00

i'm a junior and I get A's and B's. I ice skate fairly well, and i like to run but i'm not in track.

My classes for school are kind of boring. Alg 3, english 11, chemistry, world studies. The best classes I take are photography, botany, astronomy and painting 3. I do a lot of week long mission trips so i miss school a lot. I'm surprised I keep up sometimes lol.

I'm in 10th grade and make B's in Chinese and A's in everything else (chinese is hard ). Out of school, I play games and do parkour.
Now that I've seen this written down, my life doesn't seem as fun as I thought it was.

I'm a student, 9th grade (Atleast here in Portugal it's 9th grade =P). I'm 14 years old.
I also play rugby three times a week (if you include the games, if not, 2 practices a week), I really like it for the same reasons someone previously mentioned. I really like playing MMORPGs (Played World of Warcraft for 4 years, Lord of the Rings online for 1 year, and playing Warhammer Online since Open Beta). Really addicted to LBP (comming out on the 4th here in Portugal).
I'm preety responsible. Whilst most my friends are drinking and smoking, I just sit around and tell them how stupid they are (I mean, they are 14 year old!).
Not much free time, expecially since it's exams, or tests, or whatever period. (French test tommorow, and Quemistry in 2 days).
Oh, And I'm not really good at school, I get 3 at most stuff, 4 at physical education, 5 at english and Arts, and 2 at french (I hate it)... (the grades here go from 1 to 5 (being 5 the best and 1 the worst).

Hmm well my life is pretty boring 22 years old, done my GCSE/A -levels was school cricket team captain and happily lead my team to two championships. Then while studying I also was in charge and player of football 5 a side team which for three season running we won league and cup. Then I started college and uni and fun kinda took a back seat. But always been into gaming and into my Apple <3 .

Well I am officially a Biomedical scientist (people who work on your blood samples/ diagnose conditions whihc are not diagnosed straight away and even a bit of organ cutting for tissue samples and all sorts). But now I want to move onto Dentistry which is my next move in life .

Well whether you a dentist or a biomedical scientist
I've got something you can sink your teeth into. It's a huge boil on my inner thigh that came up yesterday morning and it got soooo big and under so much pressure that i got a pin and stuck it right in it 2 times and loads of blood came out but no puss. Feels loads better today though.
Completely pointless story really but just thought I'd share it lol

For being students, some of you need to work on your grammar

I'm a software development engineer at Amazon.com. Just graduated from college at UT Austin this past year.

Yeah, I was mostly kidding, but definitely didn't think you were from Argentina, so sorry about that. Several of my co-workers are Chinese and have grammatical issues with English; it doesn't bother me, I just try to help them so that they can communicate better with people external to the team.

I say mostly because there are some kids who you terrible grammar online because they think it's cool so it just irritates me, but obviously he wasn't doing that I haven't really noticed people doing that here on the forum.
