My sanity at stake... Advices welcome (sanity saved)

Archive: 40 posts

Alright, so I was on facebook and I commented on my gf's profile picture... Later on another dude, who I don't know comments something more of the what I would call flatterish form of sentence. I tell him she is my girlfriend. And he turns at me saying she does not care about me etc! That made me mad like a a hatter... And that is not the Alice in Wonderland hatter, I am talking about a serial killer who puts on a different hat onto each victim. That mad.

To be honest, I am a bit unsecure about him. Due to his way of writing, attitude and what he says, I believe he is the kind of teenager that goes out at parties and gets drunk even though he is under 18. And he probably throws garbage straight on the ground, and maybe wears his pants halfway down his bum. I am not prejudicing, ok kind of, but in most cases, my stereotypes fit (almost like Cartman (from southpark, not CC) only in real life)...

I believe he is just jealous, but I still can't get it out of my system. At the moment I am shaking (not crying though) as if I got epilepsy (and ******, it is hard to type), though I can stop it by calming down...

What do you think? I will ask her when I can, but until then I do want to know if you got similar experiences and/or advices

Moonwire he sounds like a jealous idiot that just wants to wind you up. Hes behind a pc screen so thinks he can get away with doing it. I doubt theres anything going on and your gf does care about you. It sounds like hes just being nasty because maybe that's his way of "having fun". What a bored idiot.

At least you know shes yours and nots hes, so you've got the upper hand there. Ignore him and hopefully he will go away, if he doesn't HUNT HIM DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

But please try and relax because its not healthy to feel the way your feeling and your unable to do anything about it but ignore it so go make a cup of tea or play lbp to take your mind off of it. Speak to your gf though and see what she thinks about it Chin up

Wow, your description of a the guy sounds just like the boys in my class. Ugh. I feel your pain. I am afraid I am not to good with advice on matters though, just don't let him get at you, remember, this is the internet and he can only hurt you with words. Forget about him if you can, that kind of person isn't worth it. Glad you feel better. 2010-09-15 21:23:00

Rock doesn't like brains, or at least that's the impression I got when I gave him his birthday present (http://gyazo.com/83c0e7b9814f6b394039f9d274761c4c.png).

First listen to what Fender said, except the track him down part.
Then calm down mooney boy , and most of all trust your gf.
That's the best thing you can do both for you and her, and you both as a couple.

I do know that, personally I have taken an oath to never get drunk (You must think I am crazy), but that was an example. To extend his stereotype, I can add he might smokes as well (ok, maybe nothing wrong in that either) and he may use this sort of... Tobacco(?) thing which you put under your upper lip... It is just disgusting.

Anyway, it might be a combination leaving out some points and having some others I have not mentioned, all I am saying is he is probably a bad egg.

When it comes to alcohol and smoking etc. there is an age limit for a reason. It is both unhealthy (getting drunk yes, but certain types of vine boosts your body in different ways due to it's content of grapes. But beer is just bad in big doses, Killing your brain cells.) and against the rules of our society that should be respected to an extent.

The exact same thing happened to me a while ago, I got all worked up and was furious at the guy in question. I actually sent him some pretty bad messages  and that didn't help at all. A few days later I asked my (then ) girlfriend about it and she said he was an idiot who talks like that to literally every girl he sees. She asked him nicely to stop with the "babes" and the "love ya's" and he came back with something that ****** us both off. So she then posted something extremely embarrassing about him, he thought it was me who posted it, then when he found out it wasn't me he replied with "well then" and ran off like a little girl. It's was hilarious and one of the most gratifying things I've ever witnessed.

So I'm not saying you should send him bad messages and get your girlfriend to embarrass him, but talk to her about it and things should be fine ...and if not fine, hilarious.

Not at all. Why obey outdated laws that don't apply to the modern generation? You don't.

Don't take this as me saying to do drugs or get drunk. :/

@Bremnen:
Oh hell yeah I follow them! I have never ever tried any sort of drug, neither smoked or drunk any sort of alcoholic beverage. But yes, they may be outdated. Though, there is a reason why the laws are still intact:

1: It will ruin your mind and body if done too long, you may even get serious problems later in your life.

2: Grown-ups have nothing better to do.

And I don't take it as you saying to do drugs and get drunk, but am I right in your way of thinking if I say it heads somewhat towards "Do what your heart desires"? Nothing wrong in this in particular, but being reckless is not good for your health... Unless you spill some unknown chemical over yourself and become a superhero saving the world from a comet about to crash down on earth.

Yea, though, alcohol wise, as you said, it is beneficial in small doses.
Drug wise, well, I think it would be against the forum rules to talk about it here.

Well, there is cannabis, which has many supposed medicinal uses. Obviously, this is under heavy debate currently. I'm not currently aware of many of the medicinal uses of it, I don't really care. But, there are historical examples of "drugs" being used as a common treatment. Morphine is one such example, if I recall correctly... I believe it's still used fairly commonly as an anesthetic too, so it does have a use still. Naturally, a lot of medicines will have their benefits, and side-effects. I'm sure many prescribed medicines could theoretically be used for "recreational" drug use.

I suppose ultimately it depends on what you mean by "drugs"... If you mean there's little benefit to recreational drug usage the real question is, again, what do you consider a "drug"? What about caffeine? Caffeine surely has a use, does it count as a drug? I would not want to live a day with caffeine, not even because of my own dependencies on the substance... Think about it, would you want to deal with everybody if they didn't have easy access to caffeine? I think a good third of the population (here, at least) would snap. I agree with you, though. I find little benefit to the noticeably destructive forms of recreational drug use. But, the question remains... Where do you draw the line, exactly?

For the record, I do not condone recreational drug usage. Nor have I ever taken part in such activities.

Don't worri Mori, for all you know, it can be some random troll trying to...well troll, heck you know how some idiots out there act whenever they find out there's a gurl on teh internetz.
(They get all over that acc faster than spaff's face did on everyone's avatar in Spaff appreciation day week. )

Don't worry too much about it yet, just ask her about it whenever you got a chance, its most likely a misunderstanding.

Good that you have talked about it and relieved some obvious stress.
Remember that he may upset you, but it's like a small annoying fly in your life and you have much more better people to think about.

I'm just gonna say that cannabis has been PROVEN to help MS. Morphine is an anaesthetic. Alcohol is more dangerous than cannabis, blah blah blah. Not endorsing it, just saying what I heard.

And you say: 'I believe he is the kind of teenager that goes out at parties and gets drunk even though he is under 18. And he probably throws garbage straight on the ground, and maybe wears his pants halfway down his bum.' I don't know what kind of perfect society you live in mate, but you just pretty much described almost everyone I know. It's not far off describing me. And I don't go around trying to make people feel insecure about their relationships, and neither do my friends.

As far as advice goes, I would advise you not to worry about him, just talk to your girlfriend and try to sort it out, she probably doesn't even know him. I'd also advise you to wisen up a bit to how the real world is, people drink, people smoke, people take drugs. It's a fact of life and we have to get used to it.

On the topic of drugs.... You know water is a drug by definition, right?

The general definition is something that alters your 'normal' chemical composition even to small degrees.

So... Are you suggesting the troll is taking too much water?!

Oh, well sorry if I offended you, it is just that here my stereotype is pretty common involving that, and they are often mean to most people but themselves. You on the other side are quite nice ^^

But when it comes to throwing garbage on the ground and not in any garbage cans nearby I get a bit loomy. On our school there are garbage cans everywhere placed, but people still choose to throw stuff on the ground. That is just incredibly stupid, careless and unrespectful in any way possible to the environment. No excuse for that. I am not living in a perfect society at all, but at least people could help make it not so ugly.

Well, I can accept the facts of life. People do things. But that does not mean what they do is smart. I just stay on the critical side unless anybody manages to point out a scientific proven fact about something.

Anyway, talked with my girlfriend and we got it managed up. so

EDIT:
@FISHROCK123:
I am talking about addictive stuff like heroin, opium, but not that strong, the lesser things, which I can't come up with atm.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/drug
Ok, after dictionary, the first definition, I do believe water can be taken as a drug... XD
