Ok so I built a bouncy platform to get me up to another area in my level.

But I noticed the first time I went on the bouncepad, I would either notice something being destroyed, or I would hear a clunk like something had landed on the bouncepad. I used my area select and found a small square of material.

I scaled this material up. It was absolutely invisible, save for the outline of a square given it by popit.

And this material did not occupy the thick layer, but intersected with it.
This material was closer to the foreground than theck, but thin like the thin layer so it wasn't thack. In fact it was about in the middle of the thick layer.

So what IS it? Does it have a use? Is it something we know about?

It's called "piston matter."

It's a small (but resizable), thin, invisible, uneditable square of material that sometimes appears when you delete pistons (or other connectors, I'm not sure.)

It's a glitch. It's not that useful because you can do the same thing with invisible material.

Aye, it sounds to be piston matter indeed.

I'm not sure bout every connector but I come across it using rods as well as pistons, these two seem to make it occur most often.
